HBO has Cotto-Gomez, with Cintron-Margarito 2 on the undercard, while Showtime has Woods-Tarver, with Dawson-Johnson on the undercard. The best thing about this is that both fights are free. So, what station will you be watching?

I'll watch the Showtime card live and record the HBO card and watch it right after the Showtime card.

    Showtime

Firstly to support the Brit, and secondly at least one of these fights is competetive

I'll be recording both and forcing myself to avoid ESB for about four days. I hate having to do that.

Probably, I'll watch the HBO card first and then Showtime. What I'd prefer to do is watch Tarver/Woods first, but that's the main event, and there's no way to do that without risking the Dawson/Johnson winner getting spoiled.

The Shwotime card definitely and for 2 reasons:

    1). I thinks it's the better card..
(Also, Cott-Gomez COULD be a blowout; and Magarito-Cintron is a rematch of a blowout); and

2). For me it's easier to watch the fight on HBO the next day:yep

    That's a tough call.

In quality, Dawson-Johnson - Woods-Tarver is better. Also you can expect 24 rounds

But if you like excitement and probably no more than 12 rounds combined, it's HBO

    I'd pick HBO.

I like Cintron-Margarito II slightly better than Dawson-Johnson, and expect Cotto-Gomez to have more fireworks than Tarver-Woods. So HBO first, Showtime right after. Cotto-Gomez could be one sided, but I'd rather watch my favorite fighter do his thing over any Tarver fight.

Fair enough, but consider this word of warning: HBO has a sordid history of divulging results of fights on Showtime from the same evening, so be careful. I noticed that Lampley (my guy) didn't do it last year, but thank God I chose to watch Calzaghe/Lacy first in 2006, because he spoiled that result on air the same night.

Woods- Tarver is a huge match-up, why wouldnt people wanna watch?? Woods has Glen Johnson on his record and Tarver is the Legend Killer....who cares about Cotto fighting a bum?? Even Cotto doesnt care!!!
