Is that boxingdvdvideos? Matthew Saad Muhammad should e the 7th; some truly magnificent fights drafting a lot of the best fighters from arguably the greatest division the light heavyweights has ever seen. Sadly no Spinks, but Saads fights are ridiculously good. He's like an ATG version of Gatti
Gushiken is **** hot but Saad is truly exhilirating! Kates, Conteh 1, both Yaqui Lopez fights (the 2nd was Ring fight of the year) both Marvin Johnson fights, the destructive and sudden stoppage over Mwale, plus you get to see Qawi do his stuff :deal
Saad fought them in their primes :deal have you seen Saads fights with them? Savage ATG wars. I ain't seen Spinks vs Yaqui though. LOVE Spinks K.O over Johnson. Ouch(!)
I meant Saad mate. I'm tired. His fight with Lopez is the fourth best fight ever according to me. Spinks was a force of nature at 175lbs in my opinion and would have stopped both men, regardless of what stage of their careers they were in. The guy hit too hard and one of the most awkward offensive forces I've seen, you didn't know what was coming. He threw every shot and usually all in one combination. More fighters should throw the uppercut after the hook, it's there!
Yes it is. :good I don't even know why I'm getting so much. Being bored and unemployed makes you make some stupid decisions. Still at least I got time on my hands to watch them all.
The first fight is a very good showing of Saads boxing ability, though there are of course some Herculean struggles. The second fight, as you say is amazing. His two fights with Johnson are amazing, as is his win over top contender (and Galindez botherer) Richie Kates, which I will etch tomorrow as I didn't realise I owned it What a fight that is, If you ain't seen it, Saad sufferes a horrendous knockdown but....well, being familiar with him I'm sure you can imagine what he does night mate, I'm wrecked :good
The turnaround isn't that fast but the product is QUALITY :good I recommend watching every fight in a set. You can only make a true judgement on a fighter IMO by watching his shot fights as well as his great ones. You're getting a quality mix though, lots of enjoyment to be had there :good
There's a bit in the Qawi fight where he seems to throw ten left hands at his weaving opponent, all different punchers and thrown with different intensity each time. Essentially toying with Qawi it summed Spinks up to ke: awkward, varied puncher. His punches make a sickening sound when they hit someone, like a deckchaor going slack hard to describe, a crack of the whip might be a etter comparison. What a shame that so many only know him as 'the guy that lost to Tyson in the 1st round'. I have Spinks in my top 40 of all time, and above Foster in my light heavyweight rankings.
I've got everything there is on Evander, hard as ****, an accurate puncher, and in his prime woulda smashed both the Klits :deal
A travesty. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFIO4a5yQto&feature=related[/ame] I want to do a Saad Muhammad highlight to Seidenmatt - Inslen.
Just wondering what the overall quality is like from boxingdvdvideos? I bought a Tyson career set off ebay once and found they'd edited out the intros and breaks between rounds. Wondering if that's the norm for all career sets?
