A. To be a dominate champion of one division for record amount of years and defenses B. Be considered a P4P great i.e. Win championships in at least 4 different weight classes, but along the way suffer some inconsistencies but not many. Which would you rather?
The division is strong that you dominated. Not ATG strong, but you'll have solid wins in there. Inconsistencies, as in losing some fights here and there. Not many, but you'll have a couple of fights you likely should've won.
Unless he won the belts in higher weight classes from mediocre fighters, I'd have more respect for Career B.
Depends really. I prefer someone to clean out a division and dominate it. I absolutely hate multi weight champions who were never ranked number 1, let alone lineal champion. Leo Santa Cruz for example, being 3 weight champ but never ever being the best in a weight class. I really hate those type of careers. I could go on for hours on this debate so as a quick answer I'd say that: I would prefer to be Hagler than Pacquaio though.
Nah-- I guess it's just vanity but I'd rather be the undefeated champion who rule the roost for a long time. Plays better with casuals.
