Jones can't beat Calzaghe. He fights in spurts while Calzaghe would keep throwing lots of punches in bunches, he is fast also, has fantastic stamina, not to mention a very special southpaw.

true however Jones is still just as fast, and he is a counterpuncher. Joe throw wide shot and that would actaully give Jones a great chance to counter him. I think that its something that we will see hopkins take advantage of, and Hopkins isnt as fast as Jones.

Joe has never fought a true counter puncher and when he does his work rate will be down. You wait and see.....You will be thinking to yourself "Man Joe looks old tonight, he just isnt throwing many punches" Much in the way that Mayweather slowed down Hatton with counter shots.

Well Quintana did it to Williams....so I guess it's plausible. I am not sure Hops has it in him anymore to pull it off.

yes he did, in fact as soon as I hit the submit button I thought about that fight.:good

These guys fight on a much higher level then Quintana and Williams, but yes that is a more fitting example.

although he could be troubled in them all of these fights, he could win any of them, the dawson one would take a vintage performance.
