For instance, Philadelphia had an incredible bunch:

    Joe Frazier
    Jimmy Young
    Meldrik Taylor
    George Benton
    Jack Blackburn
    Battling Levinsky
    Bernard Hopkins
    Tim Witherspoon
    Bennie Briscoe
    Tex Cobb
    George Godfrey
    Tommy Loughran
    Al Ettore
    Ike Williams
    Harold Johnson
    Leroy Haynes
    Bill Caveman Lee
    Tony Galento
    Joey Giardello
    Leotis Martin
    Bob Montgomery
    Philadelphia Jack O'Brien
    Dwight Muhammad Qawi
    Matthew Saad Muhammad

Perhaps i forgot about some or put a few on there wrongly, but it's a very impressive list nonetheless.

Brockton has Marciano and Hagler... probably a few others, but they are probably the best known.

IMO its Philly. Its a very tough place to live, so it produces very tough fighters.
