Please don't "vote" for your country, unless you think it's true.

Please god, nobody mention UK. I am a Brit myself, but very few people have a ****ing clue, its embarrasing really.

Outside of Mexico, PR and Cuba?......USA probably, If only for the older guys who were around in the 60's and 70's when boxing was mainstream.

it is only die hard fans IMO that watch fighters from around the world and not just in there backyard.

germany has big tv audiences and do big numbers , but i am not sure of the numbers they do on premiere PPV stations which show world boxing.

mexican tv i have no idea at all on with regard to them showing world boxing.

casual uk fans are now few in number because boxing in the uk has moved onto satelitte bar amir khan bills and in my experience dont know 1/10th of what the casula uk boxing fan new 20 years ago when all american bills were shown on delay on grandstand and world of sport.

i dont remeber for example a single larry holmes/ fight not being shown on free uk tv

we even had to put up with stinkers like tubbs/page blubbing around together .

fighters like wilfredo gomez and galaxy were shown and well recognised.

i doubt even die hards in the uk would no much about far east boxing now because outside of some japanese fights they are no longer aired.

I disagree with you guys about Mexico. I got tons of family down there and most of them know **** all about boxing. Most of mexico is very very rural and outside of the big cities you don't really get a lot of coverage. The televised fights for the most part don't make their way to most of the country. They watch a lot of live fights with local no name fighters but can't really hold a conversation about boxing history or current big names.

I agree 100% about puerto rico though. I also have tons of family there and it's very rare to talk to a rican that does not have at least some basic knowledge about the sport.

Don't know what would posess anyone to mention the USA. Just yesterday in the bardershop a guy was arguing with me that the reason that Mayweather will not fight Cotto is that Cotto can not get licensed in the US

I met a Puerto Rican guy the other night in a coffee shop with a shirt that said 'Boriqua' on it bold, asked if he watched RJJ-Tito, this ended up turning into a 30 minute conversation about boxing and this guy knew his ****.

So I'll agree with the Mexican and Puerto Rican call, on the notion that the fanbase backs their fighters and KNOWS their fighters well.

Met a few Mexican's who knew boxing in the past also. Most random Europeans or Americans know nothing, one guy thought Tyson was still the HW champ.:yep
