Mexico easily and you should have thrown in Margarito and Rafeal Marquez. If you make a top 10 or 20 of each country you will see that Mexico is far deeper than any country on that list. Also i dont consider the Klitchkos German they are from the Ukraine.

Don't think it's fair to put Wladimir Klitschko on the German list! :huh I still voted for Germany though...

Most people voting Germany voted because of the Klit bros. which are from Ukraine.

I was hoping to avoid too much knit picking. The Klitschko's have fought most of their fights in Germany, while each fighting only once in Ukraine. They have spent the majority of their lives as German citizens. I threw Kermit Cintron in with Puerto Rico as well.

Also, I could have included many more fighters from all of the above mentioned countries, but the focus is on the top fighters throughout the world, and each country can only have so many of those.

But he is now German. The debate here is meant to be which one of these countries has the top fighters. The debate seems to be over citizenship. Ukraine and Bosnia aren't entering any boxing discussions of current great fighters anytime soon. Many Mexican fighters currently reside in California. So what. Their affiliation with Mexico is enough for the purpose of this thread. The German fighters' affiliation with Germany is also more than sufficient. For the German fighters who weren't born there, too bad, they're there now. I hardly ever go to the place I was born. I don't remember the incident, and it has nothing to do with my current life.

But they all have the German nationality... so that's fair game I guess.
A lot of top American and British boxers are originally from other countries, like Nigeria, Jamaica, Zaire, Poland etc... Don't think that should count.

Wladimir Klitschko was born in the Ukraine, lives in Beverley Hills and, of his last 12 fights, seven have been in Germany and five in the US.

Somewhat random to assign him as 'German'. Why is Cotto not 'American'?

Wrong. That's what you get for knit picking. Now stop whining.
