There is a big difference Ruiz ,Arreola,Estrada,Quezada are all born and raised in the US they are 100% Americans they just have Mexican or Puerto Rican ancestry. Oquendo was born in PR raised in the US.
Arthur Abraham was born and raised in Armenia he is as much German as Israel Vasquez is American.
Wlad and Vitali born Ukranian fought for their teams in the Amatuers and olympics that says it all they are not German they are Ukranians.

That makes pretty good sense. Many fighters are affiliated with two countries. It could go either way in most cases, in my opinion. It just depends on where you draw the line. I feel the list is fair enough, as I did not just make it all up randomly. A different argument could be made for each individual fighter, but I don't think the argument should dominate this particular thread. On top of that, I am American and have no bias either way towards the 5 countries listed. So the Klitschko's didn't move to England, I'm not too concerned about it, they landed in Germany. I consider Nonito Donaire American for the most part as he moved to California at the age of ten, and his boxing career has very little to do with his the Philippines. But I'm not going to whine if someone says he is Filipino. And as I said earlier, I gave each country the benefit of the doubt.

Both Klitschkos spent much of their lives in Germany and consider it their home or second home as they put it. I still don't think they qualify as German.

Abraham lived most of his live in Germany (since he was 15), learned boxing there, made his career and name there and choose to be German over Armenian. Enough to consider him German.

Huck lived more than 2/3 of his live in Germany (since he was 7), learned boxing there, made his career and name there and choose to be German over Bosnian. Enough to consider him German.

Stieglitz is from a German ethnic minority in Russia, lived most of his live in Germany, learned boxing there, made his career and name there. If he isn't German what then?

Felix Sturm is born in Germany, raised there, spent his whole live there. Yeah, he is not German.

btw. 36 of he 82 million people living in Germany have non-German ancestors, 6 million don't have German citizenship. Germany is an immigrant country. People come here to live and stay. It's jus natural that some of hem will fight for their new home country.

While I agree Germany shouldn't be on the list, it's not for the reasons you think. Outside of Abraham, Huck and Sturm Germany has no fighters who are considered to be up there with the verybest of their divisions. That's not enough to be there.

I voted Mexico btw. and I think it's a no-brainer. No other country outside of hem should even be on the list.

Some say "it's not where you're from, it's where you're at." Pretty simple, unless we all go out of our way to complicate it.

Once again, I gave the benefit of the doubt to each country. I wouldn't have been better off with the thread title you suggested, I would have been better off if your petty, knit picking ass never stumbled across this thread in the first place. You are diverting the intended focus with some silly ****. You like to argue just to argue. You could probably start a riot over grass growing. That is very lame ****. Let there be a grey area. Let there be no more whining.

Far more sensible to just take each fighters own opinion. Glen Johnson has lived in America since he was 13, his entire boxing education, amateur career and professional career has been based out of America. But if he considers himself Jamaican, then that's good enough for me. If Wladimir Klitschko considers himself Ukrainian despite being born in Kazakhstan or wherever it was, living in California and boxing mainly in Germany, then that's good enough for me. But, whatever, Bodhi already explained it to you.

Abraham, Ghevor should both be counted for Germany. And don't forget Brähmer, he isn't in jail yet.

But I agree with Mexico. I's obvious it's Mexico.

Read what I wrote above about Abraham. He spent half his life in Germany, learned boxing there, made his name and career there and choosed to be German over Armenian.

Ghevor isn't as long in Germany as Arbaham but he is also German citizen, has a wife and children here, became a pro here and has considers Germany as his home - he stated so himself more than once.

Who are you to ignore the choices those guys made for themselves?
