I've never seen anybody on here disparage Lamont Peterson.

By default, Peterson wins my vote.

Well, technically speaking, he turned down an offer to fight Mayweather in 2006 and also turned down Pac at welterweight limit in 2012 in favor of facing Mayweather.

didn't like him for the longest time because koed my boy taylor, and came off as the type that just talks because he loves the sound of his own voice, but i can't hate on him any longer even with the hottest girlfriend in boxing. hope he beats bute.

Thumbs up for such a positive thread:good
Tough call for me between Lamont, Shane, and Wlad. I voted Wlad just on the basis that he seems like a very approachable bloke, even though his style in the ring can be boring at times.

I wonder how many would have picked Vitali and Foreman if they were choices????

I kinda agree with this and the way he fumbled his words during his commentary had a somewhat everyman quality; but, he talks a lot of **** and comes across as an egomaniac at times. I know most world class fighters are like this, though.

Yeah, I hated him for a while for that, but he won me over as a fan.

Froch is pure class, likes Johnny Cash, and has a hot woman. What's not to like?

and aside from his outside of the ring life, you do have to admit he goes out there and gives it 100% each and every time he takes those four steps up and step between those ropes.

    True.

He has an indomitable spirit, even when he is outclassed in the ring. If he can beat Bute, it will make my year as a boxing fan; but, regardless, I will remain a fan.

Damn, the above almost sounds like I have a man-crush.:lol:

From the choices given I voted Cotto, but the fighter I think is easiest to like is Brandon Rios. Lol, I know he doesn't have a lot of fans on here, but I really like the kid. Of course I like just about everybody to steps into the ring, except for those crybaby bitches Amir Khan and Victor Ortiz.

Robert Guerrero sacrificed some of his best years fighting infrequently in order to care for his sick wife and raising his daughters.

Jesus, anyone who doesn't like and admire the guy's character has some serious issues.
