yeah to be honest i nearly put fropch in.... like you say not the most technical but very passionate and committed and would be a great motivator. would teach people how to think like a champion and believe in yourself.

also he's smart guy and more skilled than he gets credit for.

michael katsidis would fall in the same bracket aswell. big heart and hard worker.

Watch more of Vitali's fights. An even Wlad started out as a totally different boxer but gradually developed his current style. This is what successful boxing is all about - developing a style that fit's one's physical and mental capabilities while constantly working on the them too.

yeah i imagine your right. they've done pretty well for them selves so somethings clearly working, i would say they would understand the psychology of a fighter better than anyone else too.

yeah top trainers don't get enough credit for the amount of work they do. its not just having the knowledge of the technical side of the sport but its having the ability to impart the knowledge to another person. also the ability to understand the psychology of fighters is essential. every guys different so recognising what works for each man is important, a kind of emotional intelligence.

i suppose its the same with any sports training. there a lot too it if you want to be good at it.

My first thought was Floyd as well. But then I question, if he's never really ever had to deal with (major) adversity in the ring, will he be able to coach someone else on how to deal with it if they ever encounter it?

When Hopkins has been asked about possibly being a trainer in the future he's shown little interest.

    My pick would be Marquez.

Superstars rarely make good coachs, in any sport. There is a the saying "those that can do and those who can't teach" Sports is a great example of this. There are always excrptions to the rule.
I think that Floyd Myweather could be an outstanding trainer. His father and two uncles have forged sescusfull careers as trainers. He also has one of the best boxing brains in history.

    Obviously JMM.

I cant actually think of anyone more qualified to become a trainer. Boxer wise. His breakdowns on golpe a golpe are epic.
