Is Wright ever going to have a significant fight again?

It's not looking like it I was hoping for Winky-Pavlik but that looks like it won't happen. The fight that should of happend and made the most sense was Winky-Oscar It would have been a great fight.

I'd love to see both fights. Hopefully Winky steps back in the ring sometime in 2009. But with over a year of inactivity, he's probably going to decline even more. Then again, he's made a lot of money and is a future HOFer, so he's surely living good right now.

At 154, I would have definitley picked him over Oscar. You?

Winky Wright more or less has priced himself out of quite a few fights and at this point I think he's basically falling into gate keeper status.

Quite sad when ya think about it.

    I'd go for JMM.

I would have picked him over Oscar and PBF as well. Nodody in the sport beats Winky at 154 and down. To bad he can't make 154 anymore though.:D

Some Universum Box-Promotion fighters. They have the opportunity to become good and big, but the company's policy prevents the Dzinziruks, Erdeis, Alexeevs and Golovkins to became GREAT and HUGE.

Wait no. Winky Wright wins this. Ignoring Taylor and Pavlik and Miranda and any other middleweight to fight Hopkins was the DUMBEST move.

 I bet he's walking around at 190. Well, that's what Krispy Kremes and pizza can do to you.

They better bring Golovkin and Alekseev along right. Don't want to see either of them being managed the way Erdei is.

Junior Witter, the guy is a world champ, has one loss in 10 years and still hasn't got a pot to **** in or a window to throw it out of. He's defending his WBA 140 title on the undercard of a Carl Froch fight this saturday.

He was here in Houston last week and I saw him at a nightclub here and he didn't look that out of shape I'd guess 175-180..:D Here he is posing with the King of Houston and The South The infamous James Prince

Not bad, actually. Keeping himself in good shape, a must for an older inactive fighter. Nice pic.

Winky Wright isn't one to get really fat, that's why his shape going into his fight with Hopkins was so disturbing.

I think Winky is oblivious to his P4P status.

No Way!. He got a better fight than he deserved. He fought for the "King of the Trailer Park" belt in his very first match! But, alas, he found out that becoming "King" is a little harder than he thought. :rofl

Don't you have to fight to be gatekeeper? :huh He doesn't want a fight that isn't a title fight right now. So, I don't see how he fills the role at all.
