Regardless of the opposition whichcan guarantee to fill a stadium?

Ricky Hatton coming back from his first ever defeat packed the City of Manchester stadium with a crowd of 55,000 for a non title fight.

Oscar De La Hoya packed a football stadium against Steve Forbes

Joe Calzaghe v Peter Manfredo Jnr packed the Millenium stadium.

What other fighter could do this?

I assume Pacman, not sure about Bhop or PBF

Pavlik definately, and Klitschko's on Germany

Chad Dawson apparantly cannot draw flies

Could Kessler pack a Danish stadium?

    Mundine in OZ?

I think David Haye will do in the future, if he wins a belt at heavy, no other current Brits at the mo

Maybe pbf if the fight took place in Michigan, I'm sure Cotto could in P.R. as well as Tito still, and JJC Jr. in Mexicao maybe.

Adamek comes easily to mind. He was a good reason for sell-outs in Chicago and twice in a row gave the Prudential Center its biggest boxing crowds ever - all while boxing on foreign soil. This is the main reason B-hop wants him. Oddly enough, Golota can still conceivably sell em out.

I guess there is nothing wrong with being English and proud, but do you have to be so obvious.

I think a lot of fighters can sell out stadiums in their own city....

Sad thing is that most of the time there is more money to be made in Vegas...

Pac - Hatton could do 100 k easily in there home countries... Hell maybe even in San Francisco and LA... But 16000 in vegas, brings more money to the table...

I am sure that many could with a good dance partner and reasonable ticket prices.

I don't even think Floyd could fill a 50-70,000 in Michigan. His fans are generally purists and there aren't enough of them to fill a stadium. He doesn't get a following because he just isn't likeable (quite the opposite) and although, as a lesson in the sublime and to watch one of the most skilful boxers of all time, he is fantastic to watch, he is generally pretty boring and lacking in a lot of the action and aggression that the majority of boxing fans want to see.

Or maybe I'm completely wrong. What do you all think?

Hehe. I actually thought that it was quite a transparent agenda on show in the OP but let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Of course, if he is English (and don't forget Joe is Welsh. Would work better if you said "British") he is of course going to know more about Eng/Brit fighters and the kind of support and audience they pull.

So, let's just give him the benefit of the doubt that he did ask this because he is British but with an innocent hope of simply learning more about the support of other fighters outside of the UK.
