Also known as mother and girlfriend!

To be fair, although pretty limited and only European level at best IMO, Mitchell is always pretty entertaining and is rarely in a **** encounter. Speaking of encounters, I saw a recent opponent of his, Carl Johanneson, in Leeds on Saturday, looking decidedly worse for wear, and very smart in his hoodie and jeans!

most people in The UK that dont folow boxing have no idea who Floyd Mayweather is, but they know De la Hoya. I would say that PBF is as unknown here as Claazaghe is the U.S

You are probably right. To a non-sports fan in UK, the limit of their boxing knowledge is as follows:

    Frank Bruno
    Lennox Lewis
    Mike Tyson
    Muhammad Ali
    Henry Cooper
    Nigel Benn
    Chris Eubank
    Audley Harrison
    Amir Khan
    Ricky Hatton

Rather depends where your house is really. If I stopped a random selection of people in my street I'd be suprised to find any who knew who Oscar De La Hoya was. More chance that they might have heard of Mayweather from his fight with Hatton.

Hatton and Amir Khan are both well known by most in the UK, Calzaghe, although he beat Hatton to sports personality of the year still isnt as well known, with only 40% of non boxing fans knowing who he is id say

None. I hate to say it but none of the above mentioned are really famous outside their respective countries. I mean, who has ever heard of PBF outside of the US, for example. Same applies for the rest. Boxing lost its status a long time ago, mostly for good reasons. If you want yourself to be known to the world you have to do a bit more than talk trash and deliver a good performance against mostly hand-picked opponents in matchups with mostly foreseeable outcomes.
Sorry for being of topic... My answer would be, that I cannot think of anyone, really.

    In Germany:
definitely the Klitschkos... as for the rest... Abraham seems to be getting there, Valuev too (most may at least know him by different names such as "the boxing cave troll", "hairy giant" etc), maybe Sturm as well.
