Which decade contained the best elite fighters?

    80's.

    I dont think there was a poor division , and some great champions.

    damn...could you guys give me a hand on a few guys....would you put chavez and whitaker in the 80s or 90s or both?

    I would think you would select the 40's with that username, prime robinson,charles,sandy saddler, willie pep,la motta,zivic,burley, joe louis and walcott.
    In the 80's we had benitez,duran,hagler,leonard,hearns,tyson,whitaker(allthough I see him more as a 90's guy),chavez,holmes,arguello,pryor,
    Curry,spinks,holyfield take your pick.

    Tough choice between the 40s and 80s. But, I grew up in the 80s and fell in love with the sport then, so that's the choice I'm taking.

    probably gonna vote 2000s because i give pacman and floyd a very slight edge against the 80s guys even though there were more ATGs in the 1980s. but i didn't grow up watching boxing in the 80s so maybe i appreciate them less.
