Good evening all, New poster here. Fantastic forum you got here which I've only just recently discovered. So which division do you feel is the most exciting/ entertaining? For me it's gotta be the light welterweight division as they've got a handful of great fighters - any of whom could unify the division. For me the heavyweight division is the most boring - sort of like the SPL league in football, there's only ever 2 people with the titles (Klitschkos - similar to Celtic and Rangers) and the odd one that's avoiding them like the plague (Haye). However I am looking forward to the latter's fight on Saturday. :good
super middleweights thanks to the super six and also the strength of LHW adds to that because Bute, Ward, Froch, Abraham, Johnson, etc. can move up to 175 to take on Cloud, Pascal, or Dawson.
Get ****ed newb. I think the bantamweight or Featherweight divisions are the most exciting now. There is a lot of hype surrounding 140, but the only quality fight I seem to remember has been Maidana - Ortiz. The bantamweight tourney on it's own is amazing, but add that to the 2 P4P contenders Donaire and Montiel, you've got a hot spot. Featherweight contains potential stars, aswell as potential exciting fights; Gamboa-Lopez-Caballero etc. They are the exciting divisions to watch IMO.
Apart from all the obvious ones like 140, 118 and 154 I think Light-Flyweight is looking like a potentially great division. Segura, Solis, Gonzalez and a good few more make it one of the most exciting for me. It's just a shame they dont get more attention.
Bantamweight gets my vote. The four-man tournament on Showtime should be tremendous. Add to that Donaire and Montiel, and you have some can't-miss fights between some of the best fighters around. Featherweight would be my next choice. Hopefully next year we'll get Gamboa-John and JuanMa-Caballero with the winners facing off. I'm a big fan of Hasegawa who's joining the division, so I'll be curious to see how he does. Rafa is one of my favourite fighters and he showed on Saturday that he still has something left at the top level. Lastly, I'd happily watch Jhonny Gonzalez fight anyone.
168, 118, 140, 160 has a lot of potential with Williams and Martinez, Pirog, N'Jikam, Golovkin, and Lemieux.
Featherweight for me. Powerful division when 1 of the best prospects in boxing Mikey Garcia cant crack the top 10.
This^^ I cant wait for this tourney to start. Yonnhy Perez vs Agbeko should be every bit as good as the first.
