I would like to see him at jr. welterweight now - there's a few guys who would put up a better challenge than the last 6 guys he fought. It's a great achievement taking on bigger guys and pummelling them but what's the point for fight fans? At 140 there are a couple of guys who could potentially cause him problems, but then again, the majority of people said the same about 147 and look how that turned out! I'd just like to see him there with someone who has a chance of beating him - Hatton and margarito were tailor made for him, clottey was never going to fight and imo oscar and cotto were over the hill. I know a lot of people will argue that cotto wasn't over the hill, and in the build up I thought Cotto stood a decent chance but to be fair to Cotto he hasnt really been the same since the margo beat down (not sure if he could have beaten pac in his prime anyway).

Bottom Line - 140 is developing nicely, Bradley and Khan would be entertaining fights for Pac I think

So cotto being badly beat by margo and pac makes him over-the-hill already?

135 was looking pretty damn good when Pac made his stop there.
If anything this fight just showed the future to Pacs handpicked opposition.

I remember before Pac fought Diaz for the LW title Soto was Diaz mandatory but Arum decided not to make that fight knowing that Soto would beat Diaz. Also Diaz fight before the Pac fight was a nontitle fight against some bum that gave Diaz hell.

At 135 at the moment we had Campbell who was unified LW champ.
    Joan Guzman
    Humberto Soto
    Juan Diaz
    Joel Casamayor
JMM said he would definately move up there for it.

This was plenty of competition for him that would have made good fights. As much as i hate Guzman i always wanted to see him fight Pac there. Casamayor had some good timing and power that would have made Pac think twice. Soto-Pac would have been a war and also Campbell.

Pac just stopped at 135 for a quickie. The plan was Oscar all along, he fought Oscar only 9 months after Marquez. I think he would've beat all those guys in impressive fashion save JMM who he would've beat by clear UD in a hard fight.

I would've loved to see it but that being said, I don't think that overall those would be better wins than Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey and Margarito.

Maybe over the hill was the wrong expression - but would you not agree that there has been something missing from Cotto since the margo fight? There could be a variety reasons for it - not just the beat down but also his trainer issues

after the diaz fight, pac should of not agreed to a delahoya fight and should have cleaned the 135 division. fighting nate campbell instead of delahoya should have given pac more money. giving jmm his 3rd fight, beating baby bull, el sepillo, guzman and soto is waaayyyy better than fighting hatton, clottey, cotto, margarito, and threatening money may. and pacquiao should have not been accused of PEDs if he stayed at lighweight. **** pacquiao and fatass arum! Pacquiao should have stayed with murad muhammad and fight chinese champions (theyre so many of them)

    u lol!!!

well we will know if he survives at the 154 division. he just have to have the right coach and the right training (just like he has now).

I would have loved to watch how a pre-prime Pacquiao deals with prime Oscar Larios or Bones Adams or Ayala at 122. Except Ledwaba and Sanchez he did not face the tough guys of the bantam-superbantam neighbourhood.

Well obviously Pacs team didnt think so. When you turn down over double the money that can be classified as a duck.

GBP offerd Pac 7 mil for the 3rd fight and Pac fought Diaz for 3.

Pac was going after Oscar, which was the real money fight. Diaz was nothing, just a stay busy fight against a WBC title holder. Pac fought Diaz 3 months after Marquez. A Marquez rematch would've tied him up longer and on a side note with no title on the line at 135.
