Like the title says, for example would you prefer Mayweather to fight

Collazo,Berto,Quintana in a 1 year span or just a Mosely fight for the year?

Jesus if things go according to plan look at Pac's last 4 fights:

Oscar De La Hoya (legend and ATG)
Ricky Hatton (undisputed King at 140)
Cotto (King at 147 with wins against Mosely, Clottey etc)
Mayweather Jr (Previous P4P number 1, self proclaimed GOAT and ATG)

One is too few. I would say two superfights is preferred over four average fights.

Agreed. It makes you wonder how Ray Robinson fought 8-10 times a month sometimes?

Cotto may have beaten Mosely but he was battered by Margarito who was battered by Mosely thus making Mosely the current and true Welterweight champion.

The old guys fought at a tremendous rate and still maintained incredible quality in their fights judging by their video footage that we have. Real warlords.

Even elite champs can afford to fight around 4 times a year. Problem is that these days they make unheard of amounts of money so they get lazy and decide to do that whole one or two fights a year bull****. At the very least give us 3 fights a year guys because you're dwindling away your primes by being so incredibly inactive.

    True, atleast.

BUT fans these days, a "Star" fighter can't just fight off his mando's with out being criticized to death for fighting "**** fighters" or being scared to death of another "star" in their respective division.

1 big fight and 3 average fights each year.....just 1 big fight is not enough and nobody likes average fights

    What stage are they at?

With Mosley, Mayweather you can understand 2 fights a year.

    Early on, 3-4 is best.

2 good fights, 2 warm ups etc.

Depends on what my favorite fighter has accomplished.

If your favorite fighter is a Miguel Cotto or a Manny Pac or a JMM, 1 big fight a year would be painful but ultimately better.

If your favorite fighter was an up and coming fighter, I'd prefer to see him be as active as possible so long as the competition is mediocre to good.

agreed. of the two options listed, i would have to go with 3 mediocre fights granted those fights eventually lead to one massive superfight.

Champions not fighting often enough, at least most of them that is.
