    Hagler was a tough guy who always got through without being KO'd and only officially down once after Roldan pulled down on his head after the punch. Hagler was always in top shape too.

    Carlos Monzon was one of them...bespeaking of both a stellar chin and an underrated, highly effective defense. He had 100 bouts, and only 3 losses.
    Salvador Sanchez's career is marked by the brevity that his tragic death brought about, but diuring that brief career, he suffered very little damage.
    Eder Jofre...he's still alive and healthy today at an advanced age...a testament to having received relatively little punishment...and the same holds true IMO of Carlos Ortiz.

    Another, obvious example would be Nicolino Locche, for obvious reasons.
    with the exception of that sole loss of his, Gene Tunney might also be considered.

    Two months after beating Valdez in Monte Carlo, Monzon announced his retirement from the ring in August 1977. He said: “After the bout I looked in the mirror and said to myself Monzon was never floored. Monzon is a great champion. He must always be remembered as a great champion. So I quit.”

    Vitali Klitschko. He seemed to have suffered a lot of injuries during his career but in terms of punishment from opponents apart from the cuts and a few big right hands from Lennox Lewis, Corrie Sanders was probably the only one who had him hurt from punches in his career.

    Agreed. Vitali and another guy comes to mind--Lennox Lewis. He sure was well preserved, wasn't he? Not a ton of deterioration and the guy was fighting 25 pounds heavier.
