See, I think Armstrong is exactly the type of fighter that could drop an SD to Saddler on any given night. He could concieveably go 3-0 v Saddler, though the reverse is also true. Most likey outcome would be 2-1 either direction, but it's so hard to call...

So rough, such a hurtful puncher, such a smart operator.

    Sanchez is an interesting call.

    How confident are you?

    Don't know. A motivated Pep managed 1-3.

I don't know, getting Saddler the hell out of there might be the best chance to beat him.

Danny Lopez or Naseem Hamed might be good picks that that, against the ultra durable Sandler.

He could easily go 15 and lingering in there that long with him is dangerous for anyone. He broke fighters down.

With a lenient ref? Maybe a Henry Armstrong of Petey Sarron vintage. I might make him the slightest of slight favourites against Saddler. No one else really.

With a strict ref? Prime Willie Pep, and maybe a Jim Driscoll, Salvador Sanchez or Henry Armstrong.

I'd love to see Pedroza try and get dirty with Saddler. If he does, I'd suggest he drop his dacks, bend over and brace himself.

With a lenient ref I don't like the things he could do over 15 rounds to just about anyone.

Guy could elbow like he could punch.

Look how many times Pep was injured against him.

Driscoll has a shot at outboxing him ,but as he lost his temper when Freddie Welsh fouled him ,butted Welsh and was dsqd,I think Sandy would get his goat and provoke him into a foul fest ,in which there could be only one winner ,and it wouldn,t be Peerless Jim

Thinking it over, I dont like Armstrong's chances vs Saddler, I mean how many bombs will Armstrong take with his style??? Saddler is a powerful puncher P4P and all.

Defintley Willie Pep. When both saddler and Pep were close to there best, they went 1-1. The 3rd and 4th fights Pep was far ahead on the cards but suffered severe injuries early in the fight that made it impossible to fight on against a heavy puncher like saddler without suffering permanant damage.

True, but he's also a far better outboxer and quicker on his feet, and it really depends on the ruleset as well. Though if Pedroza did try to get dirty he gets handled.

As faras Armstrong, I honestly pick Saddler by stoppage, I think it's one of the worst matchups Armstrong could encounter.

More confident with Sanchez than Pedroza, was just throwing that out as a styles clash.
