I have to agree that Saddler is a tough match for Armstrong (or anybody) but stoppage? Armstrong? Come on! Not against a featherweight....Don't see it at all.

Armstrong was by no means unstoppable, and based on styles matchups, he'd be there to get hit all night long by one of the best P4P hitters of all time. I don't see it ending well for him.

Willie pep is the greatest featherweight of all time. At his best he wins wide decisions over saddler and armstrong

That true...no one is unstoppable. Saddler is a brutal fighter, but so is Armstrong. Don't see a stoppage at all for Saddler (or Armstrong eithre). As you know, Armstrong hung tough against much heavier fighters than Saddler. That what I'm going by...One absolutely brutal fight it would be though...

Armstrong v Saddler would be up there with Walker v Greb for brutality.

Saddler and Pep fought enough that it was settled for me. I know there are circumstances, but how much time can you spend worrying about the details?

I have Pep at 7. Shame he never fought outside his class or one would have been a decent shout.

Baby Arizmendi: Fast volume puncher with a ton of toughness, and apparently, pretty solid fundamentals. If he takes 2 of three from Armstrong at featherweight, I wouldn't be surprised to see him take at least one fight out of three in a series against Saddler and two isn't out of the question, either.

Pep did fight outside his class. in fact he beat some very good lightweights. Saddler fought Pep when Pep was not the same physically and pep still easily outboxed saddler in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th fights...

nas would't have a chance against peak saddler. too short and too defensively flawed. same with lopez.

alexis arguello, and henry armstrong are good bets. i doubt salvador sanchez. he had the wrong style. arguello had the height but he was a slow starter. homicide hank had the head movement to get inside on saddler and really rough him up on te inside. armstrong managed to beat top middelweights and welterweight with his workrate. so saddlers would be nothing new to him

    i would say henry armstrong

Sanchez had the wrong style but Armstrong had the right one. That makes no sense. Sanchez was an ecxcellent defender, mover, and counter-puncher who could stick to a gameplan, while Armstrong was right in your chest, in constant punching range of Saddler.

armstrong would deny him the leverage by sticking in his chest. sanchez would give him the leverage by staying at distance. look at what happened to willie pep in their 5 fights

homicide hank had great head movement. he was not a straight forward slugger
