I think we can all agree that these 2 match ups would have been great fight. But unfortunately that wasn’t to be and we can only speculate how it would have gone. Which fight do you think would have been bigger and more exciting?
I think Terrible vs JMM would have been fight of the year material and it definitely would have completed the modern Fab Four (Pacquiao, Barrera, Morales, JMM).

I think Morales v JMM would be the bigger fight but not by much. They'd both be barnstormers though.

Was there any reason why either fight couldn't get made? I think both fights could have been possible but there has to have been some set backs that caused a loss of interest.

Mosley vs Trinidad would be the bigger fight....although as a fan I would think the Morales vs JMM would be the more exciting fight. But in terms of hype and expectancy I think Mosley vs Trinidad

I guess 2005 would have been the time for JMM v EM after Morales had beaten Pacquiao in March that year. But then Morales went and lost to Zaheer Raheem in September and after that he was on the slide. With hindsight that was probably the best opportunity but it never really seemed that close.

Trinidad v Mosley could have happened in 2000 or 2001 either after Mosley had beaten De La Hoya or Trinidad had beaten Vargas and both were still undefeated. But in reality, Trinidad was moving up and the middleweight tournament organised by Don King and designed to crown Tito as undisputed champion took him out of Mosley's weight range. Again, this never seemed that close to happening.

Pretty much this people forget Trinidad was a huge star in his day second only to Oscar. That's why it took years for Cotto to emerge from his shadow, Felix could sell the garden fighting anyone.

Trinidad-Mosley bigger. Tito was a bigger name and more popular than Marquez and Morales ever were. If somehow Tito-Mosley went down in 2001 when both were still unbeaten it would have been huge.

Marquez-Morales would be great no doubt and I’d say unquestionably more overall talent in the ring but around the time it was at its best they were more fighters followed strictly by the hardcore especially my man Marquez.

It was Winky Wright that actually de-railed Trinidad vs Mosely in 2004 and 2005.

After dropping a decision to Wright, Mosley unable to accept the fact that he lost decided to pursue a rematch against Winky rather than go for a very lucrative Trinidad fight. Tito then fought Mayorga instead and destroyed him. Afterwards Mosley went on the comeback trail against Estrada while Trinidad fought Wright roughly around the same time. Tito, based on his demolition of Mayorga, was expected to batter Wright and then face Mosley (who had just won the Estrada fight a month before) in a superfight in 2005.

Instead, Winky pitched a near shutout against what appeared to be a clueless Trinidad who was largely ineffective the whole night. Tito decided to hang them up temporarily only to be lured back by Roy Jones Jr where he was beaten up and finally decided to retire for good.

Would have been a helluva fight.

Morales-JMM pretty easily. Mosley wasn't that big of a draw whereas Mexico and 50% of the Southwest would watch Morales-JMM.

Trinidad would have beaten Mosley pretty easily in my opinion, and these guys were kind of the stars of PPV so it would have been a much bigger "event" although both fights interesting to see

I am not a huge Mosley fan (I do like him), but I don’t think anyone beats him easy.

I think Tito would have won, but it would be an entertaining contrast of styles.
