What just happened!!!!! Zoo vs Fundora for sure. No way I foreseen that happening. Just a freak cut and a freak result. Not too many tbh where I was surprised in a major way, perhaps Margerito vs Cotto in the way he endured all that punishment. Tarver vs Jones II actually there's another one and of course JBD vs Tyson. Rahman vs LL in Africa too.
Chavez vs Taylor. I've told of my experience before, but I'll do it again. I knew that Chavez would go on to KO Taylor in the last round, but I had completely forgotten at which point of the round it was. So I'm waiting, and waiting and waiting, there go the first 2 minutes and I'm starting to feel uneasy. Down to 30 seconds and I'm getting an adrenaline rush, 10 seconds in and I'm screaming in front of my screen believing that I live in an alternate universe where Taylor wins, 5 seconds left and I'm just short of falling into a coma, then Taylor goes down and I let out a completely surreal and bizzare squeal and feel as if I have just seen God.
Peter McGrail vs Ja' Rico O'Quinn McGrail was dominantly winning every split second of every round with ease looking brilliant, he had O'Quinn knocked down twice. The commentators were heavily, rightfully praising McGrail saying he already looked like a world champion, then boom one punch out of nowhere from O'Quinn out of nowhere and it was over. WTF!!
I remember how hyped up James Kirkland was back in 2011 as if he was this feared destroyer of his division. And then out of nowhere he gets knocked out by unknown Japanese fighter Nobuhiro Ishida who stopped him in one round. That was also on the same card as Marcos Maidana vs Erik Morales where almost everyone didn’t think Morales would last the distance against Maidana but ends up putting on a show and arguably won. That was definitely a night of crazy WTF surprises.
