I thought I'd try something refreshing. Not sure this question has asked before, but I'll soon find out with the replies. And it covers all era's, so everyone feel free to add a reply. Ok. Which fight or fights interest you most?. It doesn't need to be an all-time great fight, although it could be, as tactical fights and controversial decisions are more appealing to research for some people. Both fighters may well have had more than one fight, so a trilogy might well be your entire awnser combined rather than a single fight. Your interest could include the following: Reading various articles from magazines and internet websites, watching the fight or fights countless times, looking at various photographs of the build up to the fight and action shots within the ropes. Even newspaper clippings?. * It could well be the most boring fight or fights ever, but for some reason a certain happening that took place during the fight may grip your interest. Demsey-Tunney I and II? Barrera- Barrera I, II, and II. Ali-Foreman?
I hunt down upsets pretty often, to be honest. I like fighters with something exceptional behind them, too. Unique like Eugene Hart having unbelievable upper body strength due to being in a wheelchair when he was younger, being able to use the left hook that he did because of a almost lame leg. Things like that.
No particular style interests me the most, just the more praised fights of fighters I'm interested in. Been watching Napoles lately, and am looking to see his fight with Griffith soon, being as I've heard good things about it. Whatever fights I've heard great things about, involving a fighter or fighters I'm interested in, are the ones I'm interesting in seeing. Others right now include: Camacho/Ramirez Gomez/Zarate I have been trying to see Gomez/Zarate for some time, but my computer won't let me because the connection from megaupload to my Windows player doesn't work anymore. Would be GREAT if anyone could put either of these on Youtube.
The Chavez-Whitaker fight intrigues me. I've managed to pick up a couple of magazines a few months after the fight. KO and Sports Illustrated. It wasn't a particuarly heated affair, but the controversy surrounding it and Whitaker's performance appeal when it comes to further research. Leonard-Hagler, another for obvious reasons.
