    "would generate more PPV buys?"

    What are the options?

    EDIT: There's the poll!

    Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2

That's it. The PPV million generating fights are extinct. To many ways to watch fights than the traditional $50-$70 price on Showtime or HBO.
Technology has made this so. The May/Pac fight was the first time that I seen the U.S. government step in and shut sites down. After the fight it went back to normal.

Yeah, sadly that's probably the biggest money maker out there right now. Maybe if someone were to beat Pacquiao impressively in a fun fight, then Floyd vs someone like Crawford (if he could beat Pac in the context of a hypothetical) could change things just as quickly as things changed when Pac beat Oscar.

All the same, given the 2 choices, the evidence strongly suggests that Canelo-Cotto II would be the 2nd biggest seller.

So I'm surprised to be the only one picking that as a bigger PPV buy generator (assuming US market) than Canelo-Golovkin. But then again, I'm not.

Well, yes of course that fight would. I guess I should've specified that the fighters have to be non-retired.

In that case, isn't Pac technically "unretired"?

If so, I'd imagine that, hypothetically - if we exclude Floyd as being retired - Canelo vs Pac would be the biggest fight in that instance. No?

If in fact Pac is back, then yes. Can't argue there.

Although, I don't think Pac has enough explosive left at 38 to hurt someone as physically as big as Canelo.

Maybe not. But after seeing Khan have a decent stretch of success, I think Pac would have a fairly good chance of outboxing and outhustling Canelo.

Regardless of how it would theoretically play out, I do think it would be a pretty big money PPV.

I didn't realize a Cotto/Canelo rematch was wanted. I think the better question would be, Pac/Canelo or GGG/Canelo imo...

I'm pretty sure Canelo - GGG does more buys than a Canelo - Cotto rematch.

Dan Rafael was asked the same question a while ago, and he agrees that Canelo - GGG is bigger.
