If JMM knocked out Pacquiao should not be called a lucky punch then please give me a clear example (s) of what we called "a lucky punch or a lottery punch." I myself have 2 examples below but I'm not sure whether they could be called "a lucky punch" or not : 1. Hasim Rahman KO Lennox Lewis in the first fight. 2. Riddick Bowe KD Evander Holyfield in the third fight before he finished him in that round.
Garcias ko of khan? Threw the punch without looking, The old hail mary haymaker that landed on the neck area
But he already landed a similar left hook on Khan and not just once. I guess he figured he would not miss and as we all know, he did not
lucky punch or jesus punch as i call it are not real. people say that when a punch from out of nowhere lands in devastating fashion often ending a fight by ko or tko. marquez countering pacman was no luck and all skill and timing NO DEBATE. garica has a mean left hook and khan is not hard to hit. danny was trying to counter kahn from rd 1 but it took the 3rd to land it. no luck NO DEBATE. jones tarver 2. both men throws left hooks, guess what tavers lands 1st and his eyes are close. just because you close your eyes pups dont mean you did not intend to throw the punch. no luck NO DEBATE. anderson silva gets koed by chris, chris thorws about 4 punches and one lands on the button. night night, if you shoot 5 3 pointers and make 1 do the one you make is that a lucky shot or did you just make it. thats my point punches come from all angles and the ones you dont see coming do the most damage. there are no lucky punches or ass whoopings. joe cal just beat the brakes off jeff lacy.
There is no such thing as a lucky punch. If a punch is thrown in the direction of the opponent and lands, it is not rocket science to understand that the punch was not lucky. As for the not looking and landing, that is also irrelevant. Brendan Ingle used to encourage his fighters to glance at the other guys feet and throw punches to the head in training. In his mind you should size up your opponent and know by glancing at his feet where his chin is. Apparently Hamed was quite adept at this.
The only time I've ever seen a lucky punch was by Travis Moen in an NHL game which flattened Shea Weber. His jersey was over his head and it was blind luck. Rahman vs Lewis was not lucky. Hasim threw a 5 punch combo and wound up, very slowly, and murdered Lewis. How was that lucky?
