His performance against Trinidad is his best.

I chose Pavlik. No way should an old 43 yr old fighter beat a strong young powerful hungry fighter like Pavlik. Not only did he win that fight, but he made Kelly look foolish.

He was supposed to beat Tito and Pavlik? Is that why they made him the underdog in those fights? :huh

Well I do believe this **** about 8 or 10 lbs making a difference in an outcome of a fight, that's why there are different weight classes. Hopkins was made the undergdog for the Tito and Pavlik fights because they both held a better status in the boxing world than Hopkins did. They were both undefeated and they were champions, betting wages are based on accomplishments, statistics. Trinidad isn't built to carry 160 lbs. and be effective against a man that even fought at cruiserweight, it's common sense that he would win.

What are you talking about? Those are bad excuses to discredit virtuoso performances by a Legend. And where did you come up with Cruiser-weight?Also how was Pavlik's status larger than Hopkins when Hopkins was the legend? If you want do be a hater fine, but damn come up with something substantial rather than running off at the mouth and looking foolish.

Another thing is Hopkins went up 15 lbs to fight Tarver. Didn't bother him did it? Nope!

I voted for the Pavlik fight. For me it's BHop's brilliant foot work that takes it. We've all focused on the great job Bernard did staying away from the right hand by moving to Kelly's left. However, that does not tell the whole story. There were several points in that fight where KP stepped to his own left exactly like he should have, but Hops just slid away the other direction; magnificent.

Dirty Tactics? Hops used very few against KP. The points deductions on both sides were absolute bull****. What if Hops would have fought dirty? I got news for ya: Kelly Pavlik doesn't give a ****. Did he complain about JT head butting him and hitting him with elbows? No! When asked about BHop's tactics before the fight KP said things like; "I don't mind roughing a guy up on the inside. I got elbows and a head too! If he goes low, he'll find his own nuts in his throat." Sorry, but questions about dirty tactics against KP are null and void. Kelly is more than willing to get rough and dirty if it goes that way.

I noticed he didnt respond to this......:huh

Anyone who watched or followed boxing thru out the 90s knows that Hopkins was considered one of the dirtiest fighters in the boxing world.

    Easily Pavlik.

    1. Because Bernard himself said so.\
    2. He was friggin 43 out there fightin like a 21 yr. old w/ 20 yrs. experience

As far as Trinidad, it was a masterclass too. But there are a couple of things people seem to forget about that. It was originally scheduled for Sept. 15, 2001.....in New York, MSG. Well as we world wide know some really ill **** went down on Sept. 11, 2001 in New York.

Point being, this could have affected Tito in a couple of ways. He may have had his body ready peak condition for the 15th, but had to spend a couple extra weeks in New York, where **** was just nuts, and we know Mr. Hopkins stays in peak 24/7 X 365. Not to mention Philly not far from there, so he basically still right at home.

Also the MSG Tito "madness" crowd didn't quite know how to react, with America having taken such a huge hit to be raisin' the hell they usualy do against a US fighter in the Garden.

Just speculation, Hopkins IMO would have won any ways, but Tito def. was unfortunately out of his comfort zone, and he MAY have done a little better.

???? Just an opinion, so nobody freak the **** out, OK?:D

Bernard's got that great foot-work your talking about and the guy has all these very subtle movements that just do enough to throw the other guy off. Yeah and the dirty tactics is dumb. Even looking at Bernard's big fights I don't see any of them as extremely dirty. People that just don't like him seem to always resort to that when they having nothing else to come up with. I still think sometimes, holy ****, he was 43 yrs old looking like 23. The hand speed and reflexes. Almost everyone loses that in their mid-thirties and somehow he keeps it but the guy does work like a maniac. Lives like a monk. That's something most fighters if anyone can do for that long.

I thought it was a toss up between Pavlik and Trinidad as well but went with the Pavlik fight because of some many talking he would not only lose but maybe get KO'd and he was 7 yrs older at 43 but damn he was 36 yrs old against Trinidad. He completely neutralized both and was aggressive from the start as well.

As dominant as he was against Pavlik, I've still got to say Tito.

That fight has a certain elegance I never get tired of. Pavlik just got his ass beat down.
