Pavlik-Martinez

 

Pav/Mart will be more exciting as Bute is going to smoke Miranda

 

Pavlik/Martinez is my guess right now. But hey, you never know. I just hope they're both good!

 

I think Pavlik will easily KO Martinez

Bute will win a hard tough UD against Miranda

 

Pavlik Martinez is the better match up. I think Bute out-boxes Miranda easily with a huge possibility of the fight not being that exciting. The Pavlik fight on the other hand is more evenly matched up. I think Pavlik will win but I expect Martinez to land some nasty counter shots and have his moments before getting knocked out.

 

Miranda's gonna put up a better fight than y'all think. I picked Bute/Miranda.

I've said this several times, but few seem to pick up on it. The key to Bute/Miranda lies in the fact that Miranda is not as durable as Andrade or Zuniga. Unless Edison has learned to fight off the back foot when he needs to, and work behind a good jab when he is coming forward, this is a one-sided ass whoopin'.

Pavlik/Martinez could turn out to be pretty exciting. A lot of that depends on Sergio. If he really believes he can go to war with KP, and KO him, Pavlik wil put the smack down on him in a short but exciting brawl.

 

Bute isn't as dynamic as Abraham with his power but he does have a sweet short left.

I would imagine if Miranda falls in too much that Bute will capitalize. Usually Miranda doesn't though. Abraham's lunging style in the rematch proved troublesome but I'm not so sure how Bute's distance and counter-punching attack is going to fare. Miranda might do better here than expected.


In the Martinez-Pavlik fight, I really expect Martinez to do ok at the start but Pavlik to take over and get the KO midway to the end. Probably around 9-10 rounds. The thing about Pavlik is the pressure he puts on you. He doesn't have to be as fast as long as he's the stronger of the two.

Most people think it was Hopkins' skill that won their fight but it was actually Hopkins being the stronger of the two. He was winning the shoving match and the punching power match.

I don't see Martinez having such luck. He's got a decent punch but I don't think he punches as hard as 160lb Taylor nor as hard as 175lb Hopkins.

 

Miranda always makes for a good fight. He's either Knocking them the **** out - or getting Knocked the **** out.

 

Pavlik - Martinez. Even though I think Martinez gets brutally smashed in that fight, I think at the very least he'll put up an interesting fight for a few of the early rounds.

Bute - Miranda will be too one-sided as I'm prety sure Bute runs through Miranda with relative ease. I'm betting this fights looks a lot like Bute - Zuniga.
