Duran-Leonard 1 must be one of the ten greatest fights ever.A non-stop slugfest for fifteen rounds.

Don't go ove board on how good Duran's performance was.He just about deserved to win the fight 8 rounds to 7.

I didn't have it that close. Either way, the only reason the fight was considered so close was because of Duran's decision to arrogantly coast in the latter rounds, as he was already so far ahead from the earlier portion of the fight. I had Leonard winning about 3 of the first 11 or 12 rounds before Duran started taking the late rounds off and Leonard started coming on. Duran clearly proved his superiority is the point.

regardless, Duran is still greater than Benitez could dream of.

At the end of the day Duran is a lightweight who moved up to WW and schooled Sugar Ray Leonard, how ****ing crazy is that.

Duran-Leonard 1. it had more back and forth action. in Leonard-Hearns 1, tommy was pretty much outboxing Ray until Ray dug deep and unleashed on tommy to score the tko. both great, just duran-leonard alittle better

That doesn't really prove any point, as Benitez was done by the time Moore got to him.

Leonard hearns, especially when it looked like hearns was about to walk away still undefeated and then leonard came back and give him a bloody good hiding.
