I'd say the first Robinson fight was the best. Second would be either Ward I and Rodriguez. Those 2 are pretty close.
i agree for me Gatti-Robinson is a better fight and so is the Rodriguez fight those were great fights from beggining to the end.Gatti-Ward took some rounds to really pick up the pace. Gatti-Robinson is a little underrated probably half the rounds could be named round of the year.its a trully great fight.
:good :good :good :good I too thought EM won the clearest fight of the trilogy in the 2nd fight, I gave EM at least 8 rds, I also scored the 3rd fight a draw. Only slight disagreement is that I gave EM 7 rds in fight 1 & therefore the edge but have no problem with anybody having MAB the winner as long as they dont say he won clearly. The 1st fight was the hardest to score because it was so great, both men landed a lot in every single rd, the greatness of the fight made it very hard to judge & a draw would have been fairest as neither were losers in my book that night. Ps. I hope Morales/Barrera I gets voted fight of the decade, I have a feeling its going to be between these 2 fights on this thread. :thumbsup
Gatti vs Ward I is a fight with ridiclious action, and round 9 is one of the greatest rounds I have ever seen in the Boxing ring. I haven't seen the Robinson fight, it doesn't seem to be on the Internet anywhere. Shame. In any event, Gatti vs Ward should be ranked alongside the all-time great fights. I just re-watched Morales vs Barrera I from beginning to end, and it probably is the greatest fight I've ever seen in terms of skill level, significance, and action.
I think Morales v Barrera was better. For me, that fight is boxing at its very very best. Two equally matched warriors giving it everything they've got for 12 incredible rounds. It is a fight of the very highest quality. The only thing that prevents it being my favourite fight ever was the decision, which I believe was wrong.
I thought the decision was ok & would still have felt that way had it gone to MAB, it was that kind of fight, back & forth. I think a lot of people were suprised because in a fight so close, every rd counts & when MAB was given a 10-8 rd in rd 12, most thought that that was enough to give Marco the nod, I however only gave MAB a 10-9 rd & had EM a narrow winner, rds 3-7 were the killer for Barrera IMO. Ps. Pacman, never let those dickhead judges decide which fights you like & dislike, judge a fight from bell to bell, those fat ****s dont have a clue most of the time. :thumbsup
The first fight was very close, and, moreover, hard to score because of the volume of punches and constant tide changes. The second fight, the boxing match, Morales won by a good amount, not blatantly, but he fought better than the Barrera, who was bizarrely subdued that night.
:rofl I laughed my ass off when Erik Morales had that to say about Marco on one of the countdown shows. They may not like one another, but they'll never be seperated in Boxing History for the first fight they both put on. They needed eachother.
barrera v morales for me brilliant fight, i would also have morales v pacman 1 and vasquez v marquez 3 slightly above corrales v castillo for fights this decade i've enjoyed most
