Those are some of my fav fights, I was curious to know which one you thought was the best.

For me, its got to be Morales v Barrera 1 (2000)
So evenly matched all the way through, both rivals, both mexican, Barrera`s left hook to the body vs Morales straight right to the face, both the top 2 guys in the division, champion vs champion, a split decision.

Only thing missing was the KO but then you wouldnt have that arguement of who won or that evenly matched tag that really makes it special.

I think this was the greatest fight ever.

Basically I can't vote in that poll.

Picking one of those fights as "suprerior" to the others is just silly.

Morales vs Barrera I. Hagler-Hearns and Leonard-Duran I were equally as good fights, but both my faves lost in them so they ain't half as good from that viewpoint.

    WOW... ****in hell.
Id heard about that fight but had never seen it, if its like that all the way thru then it might very well top EM MAB 1.
Phenomenal action, looked as if it was more streetfight at times than technique but the non-stop action MORE than makes up for that.

Im definately going to order that fight in full, no highlight ****.

    Cheers salsanchezfan.

..........Yeah, it was like that bell-to-bell, never a respite. For two guys who were supposedly shot, they did okay.

It was made all the more riveting considering Chacon's sad story coming into the fight, and his last grasp at glory in front of his more or less hometown crowd........gripping stuff. Never seen another this good.

Mmmm.... you have got me thinking now.

I have no preference between Hagler & Hearns + I like SRL & Duran evenly (2 of my fav`s) but Morales is my 2nd fav fighter ever & I dont like Barrera all that much.
Im just wondering if I would like EM MAB 1 the best if MAB had gotten the verdict.

Oh... Ive just realised, Ali is my No1 all time fav fighter & I still picked EM MAB 1 ahead of Ali Frazier 3 which I see as the best ever HWT fight so yes, for the time being, Morales v MAB 1 stays top of my list until I see that Chacon v Limon fight, then I`ll tell you my preference between those 2.

Ps. Was that the only fight that Chacon & Limon had (Im sure I heard they had 2 fights) because I dont want to order the wrong fight.
If this wasnt their only fight, could someone let me know if this was fight 1 or 2 ?

............This was their fourth fight. Dead even after three, one win apiece and a technical draw coming into this one.

Picking "the best" out of the choices in terms of action is totally subjective. BUT When you incorporate status of the boxers, level of skill, historical significance, point in respective careers, and public interest.... Duran-Leonard is awfully hard to top. Especially for the historian and the purist.

In terms of sheer drama, action, and will to win. Corrales v Castillo I by a mile.

Check out the last round of that fight Stonehands. You'll be hard pushed to find anything like that you have seen before from the 40's and 50's. Sublime drama at it's best. It was only three years ago.

    A MILE :admin

I wouldnt go that far, every fight on that list was full of action but it was possibly the greatest ever ending in a legendary fight.

My order of preference goes like this.....

    Morales Barrera 1
    Ali Frazier 3
    Leoard Duran 1
    Hagler Hearns
    Corrales Castillo 1

The other ones had more technique to go along with the savagery IMO.
