Joe Frazier - Muhammad Ali 1971

George Foreman - Joe Frazier 1973

Muhammad Ali - George Foreman 1974

I'm talking about the criteria of victory only. Fights number two and three were upsets but not massive ones on the scale of Honeyghan-Curry and Douglas-Tyson. I'm not referring to that factor in this one.

    Come out fighting :D

Foreman was 3-1 underdog against Frazier, and I think the same odds, but they were against Ali for the Foreman challenge.
Joe had a great night against Ali in '71, but to sum up, I would pick Foreman's win over Frazier.

I honestly think Joe's win over Ali is up with Duran beating Leonard as the greatest win of all time.

I meaning winning the "fight of the century" doesn't get much better..

    Good cases for them all.

    Frazier-Ali

The FOTC. Joe a close but clear winner of it.

    Foreman-Frazier

A brutal beatdown of an unbeaten champion so easily accomplished.

    Ali-Foreman

Ali outthinking, outfighting and picking apart a champion who was looking pretty nigh invincible.

I go for number three. Not only for the factors mentioned above but for the sheer nerve and unorthodoxy in how it was done.

I'd have to go with Ali - Foreman, though all 3 were great wins for their own reasons.

Ali v Foreman imo, there were serious concerns that Ali might be badly hurt.

Nothing against Ali beating Foreman but the way Joe fought in the FOTC was shocking to me when I first saw it. At one point he actually dropped his hands and was clowning the GOAT.

Ali showcased his heart and will in taking foreman's bombs but really Frazier fought out of his mind that night.

Ali vs Foreman. Ali wasn't supposed to win that fight and he beat Foreman so badly it changed his boxing style and his life forever...from a BIG boy to an even BIGGER man. Foreman grill for life!

Yes I recall that being said prior to the fight. I thought that was a bit over the top, actually. I fully understood why many thought Ali would lose but I never thought that he was going to get REALLY badly hurt. Frazier,Roman and Norton were stopped but no problems aside from that.

It's Ali - Foreman for me and it's hard to split the other two. Ali was the biggest underdog and Foreman the most imposing opponent. Ali - Frazier was close to even money, Frazier may have even been 7-5 fave at one point. I also do not believe he beat the absolute best Ali, tho it was a sensational effort. Foreman's victory over Joe was incredibly potent.

Without a doubt this one was the biggest event.

I would say Foreman’s demolition of Joe Frazier.

Nobody else has ever demolished a top ten all time heavyweight like that!

There was nothing easy about it, but he certainly made it look easy.
