Of these men when were they at their very best? Which fight would you say they were without a doubt peak?
    Louis
    Marciano
    Ali
    Foreman
    Liston
    Lewis
    Wlad
    Holmes
    Johnson
Left off Dempsey and Frazier probably because it’s to easy.

    Louis- Schmeling 2
    Marciano- Walcott 2
    Ali- Folley
    Foreman- Norton (tough one)
    Liston- Williams 2
    Lewis- McCall 2
    Wlad- Brewster 2
    Holmes- Shavers 2
    Johnson- Fitz
Didn’t expect to be picking so many rematches but I suppose that’s where many shined expecting tough fights

I think Walcott elected to stay down so I wouldn't pick that fight, their first one or the second Charles fight in both of which Marciano had to weather adversity and come through it, are more impressive to me.
Ali v Williams,Williams was diminished but the display from Ali was breathtaking,I don't think he looked that good against Zora.
Lewis v Rahman 2 putting things in their proper place .
Wlad v Joshua we saw the fighter he could have been imo .
Holmes v Shavers 2 is a decent shout ,or beating Norton with a torn left biceps.
Fitz was ancient ,so no kudos for that one, Johnson himself dismissed it.McVey 3 ,or his brave stand against Willard for me.
No criticism implied just my thoughts.

Idk enough about Johnson to make that call. I just kind of looked for the middle of his prime and Fitz was a name. I’ll have to rewatch the Zora fight. I always remembered Ali being at his best right before the ban.

    For me, I'd say

    Schmeling 2
    Walcott 1/2
    Williams
    Frazier 1
    Patterson 1(or possibly Nino)
    Golota
    *
    Ali
Pass. I have no idea. Jeffries?

*Wlad is really hard to rank. He has so many good performances, but you never wanna go back and compare. I'd say Povetkin or Byrd 2 though.
