No, give us your real opinion. Which fight would be better? Who exactly is free and wants the fight?

It is the easier fight to make though.

Brook will be a MW. He is doing the same that Floyd, Manny, Hopkins, RJJ, Toney did. Moving up a weight class or more to challege the champ in his weight division.

People want that GGG does the same.

Don't be ridiculous Rumsfeld, you know 135 is as bad as MW. SFW however has some really good fighters at the moment and anyone in the top 10 would be a step up for GGG. :deal

Right, but Khan said himself he wouldn’t have taken the fight had it been at 160. (or any weight above 155) Khan was worried about Canelo’s power and size advantage, and Canelo agreed to the catchweight of 155 to ease Khan’s concerns about moving up in weight and the size differential.

Canelo can safely make 155 or 154, because he’s young and knows how to do it safely, but making that weight still forces him to work harder in the gym and watch his diet. If they didn’t agree to a 155 catchweight, Canelo could have came in at 156 or 157 or even higher, which would have created an greater perceived size advantage in the ring.

A lot of people were saying that Canelo should have been fighting at 160 since he was holding the MW belt, but that was assuming he would be fighting actual Middleweights. Since Khan was coming up all the way from welterweight, it was good that they agreed to 155 so that Khan would feel better about the weight difference. (not having it be as great as it otherwise would be, like GG vs Brook for example)

Here we have basically the same situation only there isn’t that catchweight, and it’s factual to point out that Brook is giving away more weight than Khan had to give away to Canelo. Considering that GG criticized Canelo’s size advantage vs Khan as being “bad for boxing”, then one has to only ask GG “is his size / weight advantage vs Brook bad for boxing as well”?

Yes, exactly. They refused to enter the ring with him or delayed it until he turns 40.

It’s not the same. 8 lbs ≠ 13 lbs. It’s worse due to the weight differential here being greater than it was for Khan vs Canelo.

Khan wanted to be great too, but he just wouldn’t under any circumstances fight Canelo at 160. (or any weight above 155) He thought making Canelo weigh in at 155 gave him a better chance of winning, or not getting KO’d. What I’m getting at is that Canelo vs Khan made more sense at 155 than Brook GG does at 160. (a catchweight of 155 gives the welterweight a better chance of winning than if there was no catchweight) But we know GG can’t make anything below 160, or doesn’t want to drain himself. I’m just saying for that reason this is worse than Canelo vs Khan. I’m not complaining, I just think it’s funny considering all the flack Canelo got for taking on Khan, how he was criticized for not fighting MWs when he held the title, the same title GG holds.

Andy Lee, Lara, Groves, Chudinov(Fedor) would all be better.

That's the one that would have potentially interested me most. After that I'd take just about any semi-decent name at 168 as a back up.

Couldn't agree more. Not to mention Andy would probably present a harder challenge to GGG than Canelo would.

Eubank chickened out, Golovkin wants to fight 4 times a year, 3 times minimum, he has to keep fighting and this will be for some fairly big money.................he planned to fight Eubank, he wanted Saunders, Jacobs, for some big money. Lara would be a joke fight, but I wish he would take that fight and knock Lara out cold just for fun. Brook says that he is a huge welterweight and middleweight would be even a better weight than 147 anyway. Brook claims this will be an very easy fight for him, so let's see...............I wanted to see Golovkin get Eubank, but you can't make Eubank fight if he refuses, same goes for the rest, Saunders, Jacobs, Quillin, Alvarez, they will not fight him. He was going to fight Lee, but Lee lost his fight, however, easy knockout for Golovkin, Lee has a bad chin...............
