Dawson would for sure be the harder fight, and perhaps would look better in the future future history. But I'd reckon Pavlik (if he beats Taylor in the rematch) would be the bigger name and bigger scalp (32-0 with 29 kos) at the moment, and in the at least immediate future.

    Chad Dawson

Dawson represents a much harder fight stylistically for Calzaghe. Pavlik, on the other hand, is made for a guy like Joe. I would give Joe more credit for beating Dawson (who I feel is a better overall fighter than Pavlik).

He's gotta beat Dawson, forget about beating Pavlik.

Quite frankly I don't think Dawson is in the loop. A large amount of ability and a small amount of fans makes him an unattractive match. It is doubtful that he will ever face Calzaghe or Hopkins so I think Dawson will have to make his own way. He will do a lot for his career if he knocks out Glen Johnson and Adrian Diaconu in spectacular fashion. If Dawson whats the big money fights he will have to be the big draw. The fans want knockouts, it ain't hard to figure out what he has to do.

Only the brain dead Canadians believe that Diaconu can beat Dawson.
