    Possibly, IB.

However, the overall skill level of either of Pac or Floyd was, imo, higher than that of either Lennox or Vitali.

And while the actual Pac Floyd bout did not live up to expectations, I think that had something to do with one of them being slightly past prime and the other one, more than slightly past prime and nursing an injury.

In 2010, both welters were much closer to top form, and they were the top two boxers on the planet, not just the top two welters. In fact, as it turns out, even with their fight coming half a decade after its optimal date, they were / are the top two boxers of the the first two decades of the century.

I think the stylistic match-up would have made for a very exciting bout five years earlier.

On the other hand, Lewis - Klitschko was the best HW title scrap in a while, unequaled IMO, until the Wilder-Fury trilogy, and that was even with both men expecting a different opponent.

Moreover, the big guys are often more exciting just by the sheer size and power, where one shot has a greater chance of ending things than at the lower weights.

I'm not sure which fight I'd prefer to see..

I might have to toss a coin.

Couldn't go wrong with either one, that's for sure.

Lewis would have actually trained for the rematch and won a decision. He was out of shape for that first fight regardless of what some want you to believe.

So I would have rather have seen MayPac II.

    Lewis/Vitali 2.

Mayweather's pull counter would have presented problems for Pacquiao in any year, though it probably would have been a better fight in 2010.

Yep, same here, May-Pac was the much more historically important fight and would've been more action-packed than their actual fight (but not much more - this is still Floyd Mayweather we're talking about here).

Lewis, in good shape, beats the living crap outta Vitali en route to a wide UD or late TKO.

    100% agree

Mayweather should fight Pac now instead of the likes of Deji, sure they are old and have seen better days but I'd watch it LOL

Calling that a fight is pushing it. One running, one unable to catch up.

I pick Floyd vs Pac. Even though Vitali vs Lewis was much better than Floyd Pac when it did happen, and probably would have still been better than Floyd Pac 2010, Floyd Pac is just a more important fight.

Both. Klit - Lewis II would have been a war
Pac - May 2010 when both were peaking.

I do feel it worked better on a slowed doen Pac than it would have in 2010.
Thats why even then it felt like Floyd aging him out despite being older. His style ages better.
Testimony to Pac he was even able to compete fot a decade more despite being a blown up lightweight.

I want to see that fight where Floyd is trailing on the card and needs to get more active than just react and offensively use his boxing skills.
Then we have a great fight and it would have been great for boxing.

Their last fight actually hurt boxing badly.
Its the only fight where a lot of casuals turned in and it turned them off of the sport with a "boxing sucks/is really boring. Did I pay/stay up for this ****..."

Vitali vs lewis two would have been nice as well but atleast we got a great first fight out of it.

That and I think Vitali was definitely in Lewis’ head after their first fight. Lewis felt how strong Vitali was and also knew Vitali could match him in terms of boxing skill and size.

Vitali all day for me. He’d probably get a well deserved UD I think. Or late stoppage

Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather as they were both at their peak.

Lewis was 38 years old and was at the end of his career.

I'd rather see two fighters in their prime fight.
