Cain would have to be his highest ranked challenger, but I believe he should win at least 2 or 3 fights before getting another shot. It's not like the last fight was competitive and a near immediate rematch is warranted.

Hunt is an interesting match-up, and I would have welcomed it much more than Dos Santos vs Mir. The only thing I had wrong about that fight was how long it took to be over. Hunt was a world class striker, with big time power, and a serious chin. Is Dos Santos good at taking opponents down? Could he stand with Hunt and win? These are interesting questions. I don't know if you can justify the Hunt match now, though. It was different when Hunt would have been replacing an injured fighter. It's a tougher sell making this fight from the beginning as opposed to salvaging a card.

Hunt is on a nice roll, but he is one or two fights away from deserving a title shot. Hunt needs to defeat someone like Struve, Nogueira, or Nelson. From there he could be matched with a top 5 fighter in a title shot eliminator.

Do you think he is going to take him down and stop him by ground n pound, or are you saying he does it standing?

On their feet, JDS is on another level.

JDS wants to knock you out, and will probably avoid going to the ground.

Out boxing Mir, Carwin and Nelson is one thing. Out boxing Hunt is another.

Hunt, just b/c a win over bigfoot isn't enough for a 2nd shot

Cain vs. Hunt for the chance.

I really doubt that Hunt fans want to see that, though.
