If you want to put it like that...but I would add the Hunt is on a better momentum then Cain right now !

But either way, the fight is being made...so I don't really remeber why we are having an argument on the subject... !

    1) Struve deserves a shot as much or perhaps more than Hunt does, sure.

    2) Bigfoot's last 2 fights were a loss to Strikeforce tournament champion and Olympian Dan Cormier, and before that, Bigfoot beat the living **** out of the GOAT.

So Cain getting rocked by Kongo three years/six fights ago during a fight which he won in dominant fashion is a big issue for you.

But Hunt being in the middle of SIX CONSECUTIVE STOPPAGE LOSSES while that was happening means nothing. :patsch

Cain being briefly staggered by a Kongo punch in 2009 is a big negative for him, but Hunt being submitted and having his arm broken in 1 minute by Sean McCorkle a year after that gets handwaved like it never happened. :-(

It wasn't lucky because JDS meant to throw it and land it. But I think that Junior would be the first one to tell you that he was surprised that punch ended the fight.

How do you see the Hunt fight going? Anything other than Hunt getting picked apart and then brutally beaten up?

So PPV shouldn't dictate who challenges. Rankings shouldn't dictate who gets title shots either. And wins over fellow title contenders count for nothing. What the hell DO you base your title shots on? :huh

Brock is a special case. A one-off. And Brock has better-quality UFC wins than Hunt does anyway. Hunt has never beaten a Mir or Carwin quality opponent in the UFC. :nono

Are you going to answer any of my points? :huh

Why does Hunt get a title shot?

Anything other than "because he has an iron chin and likes to bang"?

    Impressive record - nope.

    Big PPV draw - nope.

Looks like an unstoppable monster - nope.

    Beaten top contenders - nope.

Viewed as a dangerous fight for JDS - nope.

So why are you so gung-ho that he deserves a shot, and why are you so keen to ridicule me for saying he doesn't? :huh

    :hat

UFC's only interesting HW striker is Mark hunt. He's more competent than Cain in the striking department. And JDS loves to strike. So it would be an interesting match.

Cain is obviously the better wrestler. But Hunt vs JDS would be great imo.

So...yeah I can agree witht that statement....

So what, he is still coming from a loss... ? Maybe I'm wrong but at least they could have offered a title contender fight to 2 other fighter not coming from loss...

It's not a big issue...it just means he can get rocked by sloppy striker, that's all !

6 stoppage to Barnett, Fedor, Overeem, Mousasi and McCorkle...the only one on that list that could be shameful is McCorkle...he is a sucker for submission I totally agree with you, but it's not like JDS is a big submission artist either...

The Manhoef loss is different though....well all know Hunt is an iron chinned warrior...but like I always said I think there is more to chin and KO then chin themeslve

Exactly...because Cain doesn't have a great chin...cause Kongo rocked him with the exact same punch....man it's the third ****in time I'm saying this...

TBH I don't know..maybe it could go to the second round...I think if Mir can get past the first round Hunt could do it too...if we are lucky maybe JDS underestimate Hunt get surprised on the stand up and take the fight to the ground...TBH I don't know...but it's a fight we havn't seen already.

Never said ranking shouldn't dictate the fight...I said that in the UFC HW division it's irrelevant...I wish there was some kind of official ranking they would follow...but it's clearly not the case so why bother with it ? PPV number is complete BS...

**** that Brock is a big baby ****. Hunt doesn't have that quality of opponent on his resume because they don't want him to fight them ! :good

Because it's either him or Struve...or Cain

Because even though they have alot of fighter right now in the HW division alot of them a injured or unavaible for a fight or undeserving.

Overeem Out, Big Nog out, Nelson already beaten badly, Kongo Loss to Hunt, Gonzaga already loss, Struve could be ok, Cain is getting the fight, Pat barry got KOED recently, Schaub got KOD recently, Matt Mitrione loss is last fight, Browne could be a good choice he is on a good run, Werdum already loss, Russow is on a streak could be a choice, Rothwell Loss to Hunt, Morecraft got KOD in january, Miocic is a prospect..maybe in 1 or 2 years, Jonshon got subb by Struve...dude I could go on...bottom line is...

RIGHT NOW...there is nobody available that hasn't fought JDS that could go past the first round EXCEPT Hunt....

When Marko comes back they should make the Struve fight... he will KOD him in one and then he can move on to Nelson or even the Reem.

**** Nelson....I don't understand why people keep putting him on top of the HW division.

And I know Hunt is injured and either ways the fight is being made against Cain...

But the guy just won't let it go when he doesn't have any good argument for a rematch against JDS that soon....FFS Cain got demolished in less then 2 min...

its stupid that cain is given another chance so quickly, just ridiculous.
i know why though, its because he never got jds to the ground, and the powers that be are hoping for a 'proper' fight between the two this time.

if i were jds i'd be insulted. what dana is implying is that his victory doesn't really count against cain. wasn't really legitimate. it wasn't a great fight for him and the fans.
they want to see how jds copes on the ground
yeah he knocked him out but that was just an unfortunate blip, and dana is going to get the fight that he wants no matter what!

jds did what he's paid to do, and knocked him out without taking damage, nothing wrong with that.
but it simply wasn't good enough.
    what a joke!
ideally i'm sure jds wants to fight people he's never fought before, and i think most fans would like that too.
cain doesn't deserve a rematch so soon imo. plus he's one of the ugliest fighters on the planet with his forced tough-guy scowl. he's a caveman!
that alone makes him not worthy of another fight with jds.

Cain vs JDS II is too soon.

See, this is just how you show your extreme ignorance to the world.

Diaz was only 19 there, his jaw hadn't fully formed, which is why he hasn't ever been knocked out over the age of 21(when Mandibles are fully formed).

Do you want to be Hunt's ***** and cook up a Hāngi for him, you pig ignorant, boring ****?
