Which Fighter at 140 Would You Give Khan Greater Kudos for Facing and/or Defeating?

Bradley, but if he fought Maidana as well hed get alot of respect from me as well.

 

Any of them are decent fights and he should get respect for fighting any of them. However Bradley would be the fight that would easily earn him the most respect should he win it.

Urango, not the best... but the biggest challenge for Khan

 

Urango would tell us more about khan's boxing skills, we alread know they are good....but just how good....

Khan shutsout urango, but its a risk too, if urango lands a bomb....urango is built like a tank...

 

Yep, Urango would be a really good scalp. He's known as an old Hatton opponent so the fight would sell over here to 'casuals'.

Good thing about Urango is that he's outboxable. His wild shots are quite deceptive, he can also bomb from close range with short composite punches, often lunging in to get a short one off at you (like Arthur Abraham does, though they are no way comparable in style or class, Abraham is by far the superior fighter IMO) but Urango has shown just how granite his chin is; taking a flush shot from one of the hardest hitters in the divisions history in Bailey, being instantly bloodied and visibly hurt, but pulling himself back together and remaining steady throughout.

If Khan beats Urango it will be over 12 energy-sapping rounds.

If he can do it, it would be a marvellous win (for Khan)

 

add alexander into the mix...he has the most prestigious belt in the division WBC, and is coming off a win against witter....witter was competitive in that fight, I had alexander ahead when witter quit, but it was closer then somethink....

Alexander imho is the weakest of the champs at 140...probably the minority opinion...I think khan is too big and too skilled for him...

 

Yeah I like Urango myself. The mans nickname is pretty accurate. Showed his grit against Bailey. We all know Khan would have the advantage as far as speed and skills go. However, he's not getting rid of Urango unless he hits him with a lump hammer. Can he really avoid getting banjoed by Urango for 12? I don't think so. I think he ends up getting starched while comfortably ahead. I think Urango just catches up with him eventually.

Really, what we are all waiting to see is what happens when Khan gets clipped by someone with moderate power or upwards at 140lbs. I think we are all presuming he gets wobbled but does he go over? Does he wobble but cling on? Does he box his way out of it? Or does he just crumble under a good concerted attack once he is tagged.

Lets be honest thats what we are all waiting to see. Khan can be slick as he likes but he's never going to be Sweet Pea or PBF so he's going to get clocked eventually

 

I can't believe how much people would rate Khan taking on Bradley. Me thinks this would be a game-changer if Khan pulled it off, finally putting to bed the haters. Maybe he'll finally get the respect he so badly seeks.

Will be a gem to see him pull it off. This fight looks like a certainty and Roach is pushing for it to happen on the Pac undercard in March.

 

i find it promising to see how many ppl on here would seriously give credit to khan if he takes on bradley paulie or maidana, i think itll happen, glad to see ppl warming to him

I would give him a lot of credit for going in against any of them, however a lot less credit if he fought Paulie. IMO he has to fight a world class pressure fighter to see if he is the real deal.

 

Exactly. Sure, Malignaggi would be a nice scalp but thats as far as it goes.

Myself and I'm sure many others would not be that surprised if he beat Malignaggi. It would mean Khan has world class skills and speed if he outboxed Malignaggi. But to some extent we know he already has that so its nothing new.
