Which fighter chatted the most **** but then flopped on fight night?

Fernando Vargas is one of the all-time greats in this regard. Used to talk a whole heap of **** and usually ended up on his ass as a result.

 

Kevin Johnson. Talked an amazing amount of **** and then landed 12 punches in the whole fight.

 

Lester Ellis.

Paul Vaden.

 

What do you want fighters to do??? It sells tickets , sells PPV's.

 

Mayweather has never been guilty of the thread title. And he doesn't run.

Best examples I can think of are:

Mayorga - I love the guy, but his in-the-ring boxing failed to match his out-the-ring talking......Oscar, Mosley, Vargas, Tito.

Malignaggi - Talked **** loads in the lead up to the Hatton fight, and stunk the joint out. Talked even more for the Khan fight, and gets one of the worst beatings of his career.

 

got to go with haye, because he talked **** for 2 years and signed to fight and still wont get in to the ring

Kevin "harmless" Johnson... He put in the most scared performance against Vitali after talking about KO's pre fight.

 

Mayorga/de la Hoya. Was quite funny abuse though.
Vargas/de la Hoya. Quite nasty abuse, makes that KO all the more better.
Vargas/Mayorga. Some hilarious **** talk. Horrible fight.

 

dont remember arquello having to sell anything, tyson, holyfield....doesnt sell anymore tickets to anyone but bumbasses whoo would buy it into their hype
