EK was barely in the top 10 and had fought no one of note.

Casimero. I mean, look what he just did to Tete. I'd add Inoue and Donaire to this as well.
Beterbiev is also an extremely effective short arm puncher, and you definitely don't see those in close. Reminds me of Jack Dempsey, how they are so short but generate power.

Wilder, he only has one punch yet his opponents never see the ****er coming.

It's like walking across the road, you can see a car coming but you just let it run over you.

    I just don't get it.

His moves are great, it just hasn`t been given an opportunity yet.

Solid boxer. But that's about it.

It's not that opponents don't see the punch coming... It's that it's a boxing match and even the greatest defensive fighters get hit in fights.

Canelo must have learned that from his hero Maidana.

I get that but the guy basically has one punch in his arsenal but it lands bang on the chin every time, it's not like he's throwing five punch combinations.

I saw Naseem Hamed throw punches and you would not know where it would hit until it lands. He was quick and was throwing from any angle. Not sure if he disguised his punches on purpose or it was just his very unorthodox style.

He usually flicks out a range finding left jab before he throws the power right. When the left jab lands clean, by the time the opponent sees the right coming behind it, there’s no stopping it from landing. He can also cover a huge amount of distance behind that jab. There’s so many boxers that think they’re out of range and Wilder covers the distance with one stride or hop. Then it’s jab...right...KO.
