The first fight I ever remember seeing was Dick Tiger vs Emile Griffith in 1966. So I knew / was aware of boxing at age 7.
The fight of the century and Frazier vs Foreman 1 I followed. But it was the weigh in of Frazier vs Quarry II was got me training and becoming a die-hard boxing fan. Foreman's destruction of Norton added fuel to by boxing intrigue.

    Marvelous Marvin Hagler!

My first real memory was watching Hagler brutalize Alan Minter with my dad and grandpaw, and after that I always paid attention.

That said I probably didn't really get 'into' boxing seriously until the late 80s early 90s, with Tyson v Bruno, and the halcyon days of Benn/Watson/Eubank.

    After that I was hooked.

Amin Asikainen. That was also the moment he started losing to everyone.

Oscar De La Hoya in the 90s. Guy was even in the Simpsons when that meant something.

I always had an underlying love for the sport. But Miguel Cotto was one of the first boxers that I actually became a fan of.
