Which fighter had Hagler in the most trouble?

I haven't seen it for a bit but I recall Minter landing a big shot on Marv in the first I think which definately seemed to shake him a little (little being the operative word as he certainly wasn't badly hurt either) before Hagler rearranged his face.

After that it has to be Hearns although I don't think he was hurt much at all there either.

 

Hagler had an Iron Chin but you could tell , Roldan got his respect early.. Not saying hagler was seriously hurt,but i got a good sense that he was bothered by some shots.. But HAgler is Hagler hes too hard :bbb to give any inclination of him being hurt......Poler face like Chavez.

I love his comment when they asked him if TOmmy hurt him in the first round(he was rocked hard)... And he said na he just made me mad.:yep

 

Agree on Vito, I thought Antuofermo won fight also. He did hurt Hagler a few times, but never had him ready to go, nor did anyone else ever .

When a thread like this goes up, Hagler or whoever it is starts sounding like they got rocked in every fight they ever had. Hearns had him in trouble due to cuts, which is forgotten by lot of people due to the action that was so plentiful in that bout. No one ever had Hagler hurt where he was on verge of being ko'd, or stumbling around doing the chicken dance.

 

yet he acknowledged that one of the punches was so hard it probably cut him. He said something like "once I got through the right hand. which is where I got the cut, he was all mine"

We hadnt seen the fight before. Now that we have we agree with you.

 

I have an article somewhere and Hagler talks of being so badly hurt he didn't know where he was, must have been an earlier fight. May have been Monroe, no idea.

Outside the ring it would surely have been Don Wigfall. They went outside at a party to knuckle up and Wigfall dropped Hagler before he could even get his jacket off. Hagler then rolled under a car out of the way. It's been fancifully reported in here he was hit with a bottle, but no sir he was dropped with a bare fist.

 

Havent seen the fight in a while but to my recollection...You guys seem to be way off.. Antufrumo hurting Hagleratsch No i dont think so, maybe you have a clip you could post... Although Hagler gave away lot of the late rounds and had a tough time.. He built up a huger lead in the early and mid rounds... I think i had it 9-6 Hagler... Id even go so far as to call it a robbery.

 

Hagler won comfortable on my card as well. first time I ever heard someone scored that fight for Vito

 

Wasn't it Wigfall who stunned Hagler in their fight also? Wigfall was light heavyweight sized and could punch a bit.

 

Could have been him, he was a pretty bad arse at one time.
