There have been a handful of fighters that fought outside the book and more their own unique fighting style that was mostly instinct/reflex based. Guys like Ali, Jones, Hamed, Spinks, Pacquiao, Martinez, and many others fought in a way that confused opponents but was also very risky.
Who do you think employed their unorthodox technique most effectively?

Britain had some that really stood out considering the tradition of robotic straight up hands up straight shots style of Brits in general until recent times.. Kirkland Laing and Herol Graham. Eubank was odd, and Hamed a wilder Graham with power! Then Calzaghe, and Froch..

Laing threw off Duran. Graham threw off McCallum. Calzaghe threw off Hopkins. That's serious..

But Roy Jones was the 'best', just outrageously close to being unbeatable and horrible fundamentals.

    Muhammad Ali was quite unorthodox

    Eubank

    Naz

    Roy boy

    Michael Spinks

Juan Roldan but, it seems like many Argentinian fighters brawl and throw wide punches out of a crouch.

..gene fullmer....floyd patterson said ",he'd be in a position w,hen it looked like the only possible punch he could throw would be a left hook....and then he'd hit his opponent with a right."

led with his elbow sometimes....sometimes with his right one. had a weird defense too.

Ali and Greb are probably the most notable examples, but Michael Spinks was pretty unorthodox as well. Froch and Eubank are also good mentions. Marciano also had a very unorthodox style of attack.
