Which fighter has had the most excuses made for losses?

Ali saying he thought he'd won the FOTC was a bit absurd. But did he really make excuses? I recall him just saying the judges got it wrong. Which they didn't. Frazier whooped his ass.

Us Wilder fans kinda lost it when he first lost to Fury. I accepted all of the excuses until the rubber match when it was clear that Fury was the more skilled fighter.

Edit: I know it’s about the fighters themselves making excuses but this is a confession.

In that case Wilder and Fury were pretty bad

 

In all fairness he did get screwed over against Shyte.

 

Some guys have valid excuses like robberies and bad refereeing.
Then you have Deontay Wilder with some of the funniest excuses ever.
You have Tank blaming his hairstylist for what should have been a loss to Roach.
You have Teo Lopez claiming to have been dying before getting his ass kicked by Kambosos.

Yeah, excuse making after the fact is probably as old as the sport itself. I think my favorite old times one is the Willard-Johnson fight, where Johnson said he took a dive in the 26th round, and when told that all Willard had to say was "If that's true, I wish he'd have done it sooner. It was hotter than hell out."

I know those pre-AC guys were built differently, but yeah, if someone was gonna take a dive in 108 degree weather with 45 rounds scheduled, I think the tenth or something would be the latest they'd do it. That's convincing enough when you're doing it in those conditions

 

You actually accepted the heavy costume, loaded gloves and trainer poisoning him excuses from the second fight?

 

And the Gypsy hex. Don't forget that one. That was one of my favorites to come upon when I was reading about the second fight.

And at first I thought it must have been a joke, but then I came across the article where Wilder said he wanted to carry a baby, seahorse style and realized very little of what came out of this guy's mouth conformed to reality.

 

Haha and Wilder's brother said they did an autopsy confirming Fury dented Wilder's head with egg weights.
I thought you can only do an autopsy on a dead body?
