Being bored as I am, I started wondering which fighter has caused the most fighters never to fight again. As in, after fighter A beats fighter B, fighter B never fought again. I hope some of you boxrec studiers may have put some thought into this. I don't even know where to begin, but I'm interested to see if we can at least get a start on this.

Probably someone like Buck Smith, who was fighting guys with 3 or 4 career pro fights despite having well over 200 pro bouts.

BTW, as for guys who retired a lot of prominent fighters, I believe like 7 of Khaosai Galaxy's title scalps never fought again, most of them in what should have been the primes of their careers.

i was gonna say tito too
whenever i think of career ruiner, i think of tito vs david reid
or i think of tito vs el feroz

guy was just a beast at 147 and up to 154 and even a little bit at 160 until he was executed

At the higher level DLH was retired long time ago,
Hatton was retired by PBF ... what PAC did is that he ate the rotten meat balls

hopkins has sent many fighters on the road to retirement, if not retiring them right then and there. check out his record, and look at how those fighters turned out after facing him

this is a good point. look currently at Pavlik... it's taking him quite some time to recover from the beating B-Hop gave him. B-Hop can mentally retire someone. i dont think his opponents recover from being so outclassed a lot of the time.

I think you can add Jose Luis "El Temible" Castillo, who arguably beat PBF, to that list since Hatton completely derailed any comeback ambitions JLC might have had. He's been way out of the picture ever since Hatton dismantled him.
