With proper matchmaking most fighters with talent can go places. In boxing, if you're a fallen star, you're almost always one big win away from being back into the big time.

Although this group is talented, nobody is calling this group unbeatable; but if matched properly with marketable opponents which of these fighters can conceivably crawl back into the public's good graces taking into account their ability at this point and the potential opponents that you think that they can beat to get back on top? (regardless of which division you think they'd fare best in)

    1. Ricky Hatton
    2. Zab Judah
    3. Miguel Cotto
    4. Jermaine Taylor
    5. Juan Diaz
    6. Edison Miranda
    7. Victor Ortiz
    8. Jeff Lacy
    9. Sam Peter
    10. Jorge Arce

I should note that at one point or another they were each considered the future of the division, they were hyped up and unfortunately fell short of expectations or faced a legitimate challenges and were unfairly relegated as hype jobs. Either I still think that each of them is talented but place in with the right fighter they can still look very good.

    Victor Ortiz.

He is still young and his loss to maidana seemed more like a lesson then a career threatening loss.

Cotto and Miranda im sure can have a few more exciting fights, Peter too maybe if he stays in shape.

Definetly Ortiz...everyone else on the list has proved themselves in the sport one way or another. Ortiz still has yet to reach his prime, and the Maidana fight was only motivation for him...unless he ends up like Panchito lol

If he had better match makers you probably wouldn't be laughing.

Who did he really lose to?
    Calzaghe?
    Taylor?
    Jones?

    No shame there.

    Speedsters clearly bother him.

    Cotto!

Also Ortiz, still young, still being backed by Goldenboy, although he deffo gotta show some growth in his next fight..

Hatton is at the end of his career - Could still land a big name fight..

Ortiz is only 22 or 23 . Time is on his side. Alot of the others are older and have some bad beating ....ie Hatton, Lacy.....I don't think Zab is hungry any more.

who has the best chance or who still has the talent? not necessarily the same thing.

if it's who has the best chance the answer is miranda and cotto seeing how they have championship fights lined up.

if its talent wise then i would agree that ortiz is still young and can learn from his loss. i would also say cotto still has the talent to make some noise. the others have a lot of question marks.

  12. Victor Ortiz. And where is my man winky wright. He may not have the best chance but he should at least be on the list.

There is not even a question to me that it's Ortiz. When you're his age, you can rebound from an ass whooping pretty quick.

Zab will be like the Glen Johnson of the WW and JWW division(minus the heart and durability) every good prospect/contender should fight him on their way up the ranks.

Should've added him instead of Ortiz.

Victor is still young. Time factor alone gives him a helluva shot to get back on top.
