Seriously, this fight he took sustained bombs for 12 rounds. His legs were gone for the last 4-5 rounds but somehow he stayed in there. I called this one of the most brutal of beatdowns I've seen...would that be a fair assessment?
I don't think Gatti ever took as many bombs in one single fight than Duddy did tonight. It was over a 12 round period.
Duddy took a lot of big shots but i think it looked a lot worse than it was. Every punch Duddy takes usually snaps his head back. It wasn't a Lacy esque beat down to me. Great chin by Duddy and heart how he stayed up for those 4 or 5 rounds i don't know. As Duddy always says he gives the fans a good show thats what he cares about most.
You need to watch Gatti's fights from the 1990s with Robinson, Patterson, Ruelas, Rodriguez, etc. This was a good fight, but in no way was the punishment Duddy took tonight of "legendary brutality" level. Not even close. Hell of a guy, though.
Maybe andrade vs kessler Sam Peter vs Vitali those were in my book some fights where one guy landed everything and the other guy didnt maybe didnt tope jcc vs duddy but just very one sided
JCC jr aint really a devastating puncher either The lead left and the over hand right was connecting alot though
Eh, Wayne McCullough! I think you're exagerrating this Addie I mean is that the first time you've seen Duddy fight?
