Jones would knock the **** out of Julian Jackson.

I don't see Jones losing at 168. At Light Heavy he can, Michael has the best chance.

I think there are a few guys at different weights that would have beat Roy.

    Robinson
    Hagler
    Monzon
    Benn
    Charles
    Langford
    Foster

Why bringing out so many names from the past when guys like Tarver and Johnson who aren't even close to being ATG's have humiliated the guy in his prime? (yea in his prime: as he was coming out of winning a HW belt he was not shot at that point).

Who the hell did RJJ beat in his prime other than Bhop? Who?. . . Montell Griffin? Pazienza? Ruiz? Are those his biggest wins at prime? Gimme a break.

RJJ was all flash and natural ability but 0 will, 0 heart, 0 chin, 0 toughness, 0 punch resistance. He was a great athlete not a warrior. He was good at humiliaiting no-bodies and making them look and feel awful in the ring. . .he was a bragging bully and nothing makes me happier than Calzaghe having humiliated him and Green having raped him in one round. Teach the guy some humility. :happy

moorer, foster, monzon, hagler, spinks, foster, and qawi. it was known gerald mclellan had beaten roy in the amateurs, but i still like roy's chances and a victory in the amateurs doesn't translate into a victory in the pros

Julian Jackson moving up to MW. He can catch anyone.. doesnt matter and if he catches Roy, see Terry Norris for a sample. He got beat by McCallum because Mike had arguably the best beard in history. He was old vs. Gerald.

Bob Foster, if we are talking about weight classes Rj regularly fought in.

Robinson, Benny Leonard, and Ali in others.

    that's about it.

I'm not much of a believer in Jones being the second coming of Superman, but I think Roy would box Jackson's ears out of the arena. There's always the danger now that Jones has been subjected to some knockout defeats, that some might assume any big banger would replicate the same feat as a Green or Johnson. Not true. Prime Roy was far to elusive and athletic to get caught by Jackson, who didn't have much to his skill set other than the big shot...it should be said.

I think Michael Spinks would beat Jones, and there are a dozen other fighters I'd give a good chance.

At middle and super-middle, nobody beats him. Some guys have a shot at LHW, and they've been named already

What do you mean limited skill? Jackson can box and is technically sound, hes by no means a crude (one d) fighter by any stretch. Norris was as slick and fast as they come and Jackson methodically stalked him and sent him to la la land with a very very quick right, it was quicker than Terrys reflex thats for sure.

Terry Norris was known for having weak punch resistance, and this during his prime years having been given hell by a journeyman who's name eludes me at the moment. In any event, Jackson was getting his ears boxed off by Herol Graham until he landed the counter right hand from hell that shut Herol down for the night. I think Jones was too big, too fast, too athletic for Jackson, who was not as focused on showing his boxing skills as he was by landing hard shots...which is too say, he fell in love with his power as so many bangers do. I don't give Jackson much chance.

Calzaghe would have had the best chance at SMW.

However, at prime and on his best night, NOBODY beats Roy at SMW.

At LHW, his chances of losing are greater, but I'd still pick him at prime, again on his best night over an LHW.

    Riskiest matchups:

    Moore
    Foster
    Spinks

But, barring perfect shot landing, he beats these guys too on mobility and speed.

Foster and Spinks wouldn't have to land all that flush truth be told. :bart
