It's so hard to pick a guy with confidence. Like u say lyle who did come extremely close, but it's such a tall order. Foreman got a very good chin, can push u about with those strong arms and can punch like a mule. The only ones I have are Lewis, liston, Ike, tua.. Not a very long list from a hundred years of boxing

    Ike maybe...but Tua? Hell no.

Foreman has a field day with Tua.

Foreman would put the fear of God into Tua.

haha lennox lewis beating foreman trading blows early..with his chin... , this forum is very funny.
if liston fought toe to toe with foreman he would get stopped because foreman did hit harder and had better chin.
Foreman was beatable but trading with him was not the way.
and for these trolls who used the fight with lyle as example. The only thing that this fight proved was that even a rusty version of george without confidence in himself could not be beaten trading with him

Purrity? Cobb? Are we crazy? The one that comes to my mind is Riddick Bowe.

I would take prime big daddy bowe to do the job.
Fearless warrior with better defense, skills, also faster with great size.
I see him landing first and getting the best out of the exchanges, plus he has a better stamina if the fight goes in the late rounds.

First of all i pick Foreman over bowe under any circumstance, Foreman wins by ko. But in this specific scenario trading blows from the beginning Foreman has all the advantage

Bowe has all the advantage, you can argue about punching power and that's it

Bowe / Foreman would have been fun.

I take Foreman, but Bowe was in with a shot.

Ron Lyle was a whisker away from putting him away so it's not an impossible task. There's been plenty of fighters since Lyle with more power and a better chin, anything is possible but someone like Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bowe could do it if they jumped on him fast.

Foreman was stronger, got a much better chin, hits miles harder, was better finisher, faster starter, he was greater did cut the ring better and had stylistical advantage over bowe,in favour of bowe you can argue about height that's it
