Mercer could punch, too. Yup. Would have been a bloodbath.

I always thought the 1994 Oliver McCall would have had a chance against the 1974 Foreman

Not really, bowe is heavier and bigger thus stronger, also has a more proven chin.
Bowe is more polished, faster with better defense which should favor him to land first.

Prime Foreman really needed a trainer to make him pace himself. If his prime version could have had his comeback version's disposition, he would have been one scary dude.

IMO no one. Going forward from Ali frying his brain in Zaire until his first retirement he was a brain dead idiot. No one knocks out Foreman, forget Zaire, all the cards stacked against him which has been debated ad nauseum. Stupid George against Lyle? My gosh, he almost killed Ron! You're talking about someone coming out and going toe to toe with George, a prime George, not the 75-77 fruitcake.

So someone's a Troll by simply observing the obvious that Lyle went life and death with Foreman and was a whisker away from having him out of there.

    Ibeabuchi probably and
honestly i give tyson a 50% chance because of his speed and reflexes. Both have proven chins but foreman has never fought anyone with the explosiveness of tyson, taking big shots is one thing but taking big shots that you dont see coming is another.
I think it would be 50/50 because tyson would probably land 2:1 vs foreman and would surely drop him atleast twice but if foreman gets hurt he can tie tyson up, if tyson gets hurt he is a sitting duck.
Tyson has never been seriously in trouble(as in you could see it in his legs) from a single punch without a serious and demoralizing beating first. I think even the 2002 version, out of shape, unmotivated and shot would could still last a few rounds with prime foreman judging by the amount of punishment he absorbed from lewis, now in his prime in better shape, faster, elusive and firing back in combinations he has a good chance i know its not a popular opinion

I'd give Tyson a chance in a fire fight though I heavily favor prime George over prime Mike. Riddick Bowe in his prime comes to mind maybe with his size and in fighting skills he could get the better of Foreman. Unfortunately Bowe had a tendency of getting hit too much which would be really bad against George. Finally Liston may be the best possibility with his jab and hammer right hand that perhaps he could stand his ground put Foreman out like he did to a similar Clevland Williams. But Foreman was a notch above Williams and I too see Liston getting busted up and stopped against a prime Foreman. I'll mention David Tua as well because of his chin and power perhaps he could get to George before he gets to him but I doubt it. I see Tua like Frazier being made to order for Foreman and like Frazier a normally durable fighter in Tua I think would fall in the early rounds. I see Ibeabuchi getting mentioned by some, thats a good pick judging from the Tua fight but overall isn't enough of Ibebuchi to judge how he'd handle himself with the likes of Foreman.

Overall going toe to toe with a prime Foreman isnt a good idea. Frazier who could go toe to toe with almost anyone and likely win did not stand a chance against Foreman that goes to show how tough a proposition Young Foreman would be for other pressure fighters.

I also would give Tyson pre Don King a very strong chance in a fire fight. Tysons head movement was outstanding, and he could beat Foreman to the punch. Lennox Lewis The Kleischkos and current group oh Heavys I just cant see . Lewis could fight, but he was dropped and knocked out twice in the prime of his career. The Kleischkos jab, right hand and grab. Against world class opponents wouldn't work against a Prime Foreman. Wilder? Can he fight? I know some of you "size kings" will disagree but give me the smaller man who can fight and proved against world class competition against bigger, lumbering men who really can't.

Funny how people say bowe was easy to hit, despite the fact he showed good defensive variety vs peak holyfield, for example rolling with punches, slipping, head movement, nice countering etc... Unlike foreman who looked like a stiff amateur mummy as far as defense

Dempsey was tougher and an all around better fighter than Frazier. I could see Dempsey ending it in the first or second round...at least someone is ending it in the first two rounds.

Not a reflection on Foreman but how good Dempsey was in his prime.
